Fave Five for Friday!

Here's mine for this week:

#1 - My new haircut....love it love it love it. Can't say enough about how cute it is AND it's super easy to take care of. Just what I need. BTW some of you emailed me and asked what the haircut is called, it's an A Line bob and the back is STACKED. That's how you get that cool effect in the back of their hair. Now go forth and conquer your own A Line Bob's, I want to see LOL

#2 - My new knitting projects, the dish cloths that I finished and the two bookmarks which I'll shared in a post later today.

#3 - My niece Anastacia leaving the ICU and being home since yesterday. Thank you all for the prayers :)

#4 - The hot Green Bean soup I made a few days ago, it warmed us up and the kids loved it so much they both had two servings and Nicholas actually came back later that night and asked for a bit more.

#5 - The two new books I got in the mail, I won one from Barb and one from Michelle and I can't wait to read them. The Shape of Mercy and Knit One.

Here's mine for this week:

#1 - Getting wonderful reports from the teachers on both my children, it makes me smile to know that they're amazing students. (also makes me wonder who they take after, since I was never that great at school LOL)

#2 - The cooler weather, we actually enjoy walking to school in the morning and don't feel like we're melting onto the concrete.

#3 - Being able to delve into the wonderful pages of the book I'm reading, it's been a learning lesson for me, a HUGE one.

#4 - Trying out wonderful new recipes like the Cajun Chicken w/ Bacon and Cheese. YUM.

#5 - Finishing the first season of McLeod's Daughters, with a tear and a smile on my face, I'm really enjoying this show, it delivers such a wide range of emotions.

So here's my favorite five things for this past week:

1. Homemade shortbread that I somehow botched and in order to try and save, I ended up adding a spoon of strawberry jam to each little round cookie. Turns out, I should REALLY mess up more often, they were delish. LOL

2. My favorite shows starting again on tv, love the fall season tv lineup.

3. My new hummingbird friend that watches me through the kitchen window.

4. Talking to family on the phone, all the way in South Africa, it's one of those things we can't do often so it's always a treat :)

5. The Civil War cookbook that Jasmine brought home from the library, I'm loving looking through not only the recipes but the history.
