Good
morning everyone, welcome back to a kind of chilly early morning here in Texas.
There is a chill in the air the past 2 days, signaling the very much welcome season of Fall. How is the weather where you're at? You still in the throes of summer heat or is the temperature starting to drop like here?
Whichever it is, I hope you are all well.
As you can see I did a little cleaning around the blog, mainly just brought in a sniff of Autumn, nothing big but enough to shift us from one season to the next.
So without further ado, let's get right on with our Happy Homemaker Monday for today.
I hope you all have a wonderful blessed week. ♥
The weather:::
Just
look at those temperatures? The perfect combination, warm but not
unbearably hot, just the right combination to head into Fall.
As I look outside my window:::
The sun is starting to rise, so it's not quite yet bright. I think early morning and evening are my favorite times of the day. The lull right before the day kicks off, or comes to an end.

Right now I am:::
Working on this post while watching a Hallmark movie. For me, September is not only the beginning of the best season, but also the month I really start digging into the cute seasonal movies. I am currently watching some Autumn themed ones. On right now is Falling for Vermont.
Something fun to share (a blog, a video, a tip):::
Today I have a really fun website to share with you. If you love the changing of the leaves and the gorgeous foliage that this season brings, then I have the perfect thing for you.
Explore Fall: Interactive Foliage is a really cool website that I found. By clicking on the Fall Foliage Map for 2025, you can see by State where the best fall colors are. How neat is that?
Thinking and pondering:::
Nothing specific, just the usual daily to dos, with a smidge of holiday planning, which I like to start very early on.

On my bedside table:::
My empty cup of coffee, a water bottle and my new read.
What I'm currently reading:::
I just finished the first book in a 5 book series by Janette Oke. The Meeting Place. It was very sweet and very much typical Janette Oke, it reminded me of When Calls the Heart. I will start the next one soon, but just decided to go a different route right now. I am truly a mood reader and I have started realizing over the past year, that I don't like having a structured reading list planned.
So, the next one I will be reading is called Roanoke: A Novel of Elizabethan Intrigue. It looks and sounds perfect for this time of year.
On my tv:::
YouTube (homemaking, books, fall inspired)

Christian sermons, prophets, teachings.
Hallmark Autumn moviesListening to:::
The Hallmark movie on the TV.
On the menu for this week:::
It's the end of the current meal plan and I need to get started with the new one. I'll be working on that today.
Monday - Mediterranean Chicken, roast vegetables
Tuesday - Ground Turkey and Zucchini, Rice, Steamed Broccoli
Wednesday -
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday -
Sunday -
On my to do list:::
The usual daily chores, plus meal planning and budget planning for this month.
Daily Bible reading and daily decree
Daily 10k steps
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Nothing more than the usual crochet ongoing projects.
My simple pleasure:::
Hallmark movies. Any movies, seasonal, out of season, it doesn't matter. They're all the same, they all follow the same storyline, they all end the same and yet, I love watching them.
Looking around the house:::
Fall has definitely arrived. There are pumpkins sprinkled here and there and it makes me so happy. You're probably sick of hearing about it, and I apologize for that, but hey, this is my personal online journal and I would be doing it a disservice if I pretended to be something I am not right?
From the camera:::
Me in a picture. Coffee, book and crochet blanket ♥

evil: for thou art with me; Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me- Psalm 23:4

Your blog design is so beautiful! I love fall and this is a perfect addition to your blog! The weather has been glorious here in Mississippi the past few days. It was 55 when I woke up!
ooh! yes time to change the blog backgrounds! Lovely weather here too. Finally cooled down. Have a great week... great idea for the foliage map
I am a mood reader too. Sometimes I get irritated with myself because that hinders me in book clubs and reading my author friends' books! Just another thing to beat myself up over. I see a Sara Donati book in your picture - I LOVE that book! And of course Janette Oke! I'm starting Rilla of Ingleside - I've never read it and I'm excited about it. Have a great week!
Lovely temperatures here in the Netherlands too.
Thank you for the beautiful autumn links.
I wish you a wonderful week!
Hello lovely Lady! Love the whole Fall vibe you got going on. So cute! And I agree...a fun guilty pleasure are those wonderfully predictable Hallmark movies. I forget about Janette Oke - I have loved every book of hers I have read. Thanks for the reminder! Blessings for more chill and cozy moments ahead. xoxo
I adore the new look of your blog. I'm not allowing myself to change my blog yet: I have to wait until september 21st. But then I'm going to change the colors to fall colors.
I haven't been blogging due to my blog being side swiped by someone using it for advertising and I cannot put a stop to it. Have you had an uptick on views with your blog lately? My views went from less than 100 to over 600 overnight, and they are from websites like Dominos, and other strange places. Views are from Hong Kong and Singapore too. I'm looking for a new platform or I'm just done with blogging.
I love this. The little bit of chill in the air is the best feeling, and your blog is looking so cozy with the touch of autumn. I'm with you on the Hallmark movies. They're the perfect comfort watch, especially this time of year. And thanks for sharing the fall foliage map. What a cool find.
FALL RE THERE ANY SWEETER WORDS ABOUT A SEASON? I hope you're having an absolutely wonderful week.
Happy Saturday!! Thank you for sharing the Hallmark Movie!!! I will definitely watch that. I also am a mood reader!!!!! Have a wonderful weekend, Sandra!
