Good
morning my friends, welcome back to my blog. I usually talk for a bit when I start this post, however, today I will leave it very simple as I have no internet and am struggling to get this post up.
We had very strong storms roll in on Saturday night, and Sunday morning. As I was in the bathroom getting ready for church, a loud thunder roared and then the sound of lightning hitting very near to the house. We immediately lost internet. We thought it would come back, but here we are, 25 hours later and still no internet. Turns out that the lightning struck our fiber box and fried the whole system. They will be out to fix it this morning, so hopefully we will be back online, but for now, I am having to use the hotspot from my cellphone to try and get this post up.
So, let's do this real quick.
God bless you all ♥
The weather:::
It's been quite hot still, summer really doesn't want to let go, but temperatures are supposed to start going down this coming week.
As I look outside my window:::
It is already 9am, so the sun is shining brightly. From my desk I can see the chicken coop and all the sweet girls running around.

Right now I am:::
Sitting at my desk, trying to get this up real quick while talking to my stepmom via voice messages on Whatsapp.
Thinking and pondering:::
Believe it or not, Thanksgiving. We just got word that there will be around 30 people at our house this year, and I'm trying not to panic, so am already thinking, planning and working out who I will delegate what to, so that it doesn't become overwhelming for me.

On my bedside table:::
TV control, water bottle.
What I'm currently reading:::
Roanoke by Margaret Lawrence and the Book of Enoch.
In the Bible I'm reading Zechariah.
On my tv:::
YouTube (homemaking, books, fall inspired)

On my to do list:::
The usual daily chores.

Daily Bible reading and daily decree
Daily 10k steps
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Nothing really at the moment. I made the Fairy House but don't have anything else planned for the moment.
My simple pleasure:::
Reading. I love sitting with a good book and just drowning out the world while I immerse myself in a different world.
Looking around the house:::
With the rain, the carpets always take the brunt of the doggy paws. So I'll be carpet cleaning again this morning.
From the camera:::
Picture from the rain on Saturday.

Good morning dear friend. Sorry to hear about the internet, but fortunately the lightning didn't cause a BIG fire or hit your house. Praying you see some fall weather relief soon!
With family travel changes and all that's gone on this year I have had to reevaluate the holidays also - hence why :LOL: I'm even thinking BLOGMAS already.
I LOVE your simple pleasure answer! I too love delving into the lives of my reading characters and experiencing their worlds!
Have a wonderful week! XOXO
oh my! sorry about the internet but at least it's not the electricity too. Love the rain picture. I too am planning for family guests at Thanksgiving. Reading is my FAVORIT thing of all. Have a great week
I'm so sorry about the storms but am thankful you are safe! It's scary and hard to sleep with bad storms! We haven't had a lot of rain lately so I'm ready for a rainy day! It's still hot here in my neck of the woods as well, but I'm still burning my fall scented candles! I'm going to enjoy fall whether the weather wants me too or not! Thanks so much for hosting, I hope you have a blessed week!
Happy new week dear Sandra! I hope they're getting your internet all sorted. That rainy pic just makes me feel so cozy! I'm thinking ahead on holiday thoughts as well. Thanksgiving and I've already been making plans for a more "homespun" Christmas and bought some cute packaging that homemade gifts will go into. I hope you have wonderfully cozy and peaceful week ahead. xo
Happy Fall, Sandra! I am sorry about the internet issues. I pray you have a great rest of your day and week!!
