{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 09/22/2025 }

 

 

Good morning my friends, welcome back to my blog.  I usually talk for a bit when I start this post, however, today I will leave it very simple as I have no internet and am struggling to get this post up.  

 

We had very strong storms roll in on Saturday night, and Sunday morning.  As I was in the bathroom getting ready for church, a loud thunder roared and then the sound of lightning hitting very near to the house.  We immediately lost internet.  We thought it would come back, but here we are, 25 hours later and still no internet.  Turns out that the lightning struck our fiber box and fried the whole system.  They will be out to fix it this morning, so hopefully we will be back online, but for now, I am having to use the hotspot from my cellphone to try and get this post up.

 

So, let's do this real quick.

The weather:::

It's been quite hot still, summer really doesn't want to let go, but temperatures are supposed to start going down this coming week.  

As I look outside my window:::
It is already 9am, so the sun is shining brightly.  From my desk I can see the chicken coop and all the sweet girls running around.  

 

Right now I am:::
Sitting at my desk, trying to get this up real quick while talking to my stepmom via voice messages on Whatsapp.

 

 

Thinking and pondering:::
Believe it or not, Thanksgiving.  We just got word that there will be around 30 people at our house this year, and I'm trying not to panic, so am already thinking, planning and working out who I will delegate what to, so that it doesn't become overwhelming for me.  

 
On my bedside table:::
TV control, water bottle.  

 

 

What I'm currently reading:::

Roanoke by Margaret Lawrence and the Book of Enoch. 

In the Bible I'm reading Zechariah. 

 

     

On my tv:::
YouTube (homemaking, books, fall inspired) 

Christian sermons, prophets, teachings.

Hallmark Autumn movies

Listening to:::

My stepmom's voice messages.      

 
On the menu for this week:::

Will start working on then new menu plan to kick in on Wednesday.

Monday - Pork Tenderloin Roast, Mashed Potatoes and Chickpea Quinoa Salad  
Tuesday - Korean Style Ground Turkey, Rice          

Wednesday - Pizza Loaves

On my to do list:::
The usual daily chores. 

Change bedding.

Carpet Clean. 

Daily Bible reading and daily decree

Daily 10k steps 

 

 
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Nothing really at the moment.  I made the Fairy House but don't have anything else planned for the moment. 

 

My simple pleasure::: 

Reading.  I love sitting with a good book and just drowning out the world while I immerse myself in a different world. 

 

Looking around the house:::
With the rain, the carpets always take the brunt of the doggy paws.  So I'll be carpet cleaning again this morning.
