Happy Homemaker Monday - 05/12/2025

Good morning everyone.  Happy Monday and welcome back to my blog.

I hope you've had a wonderful weekend, mine as usual was jam packed and I once again zipped through it, without getting a chance to relax at all.  Thankfully I am a homemaker, so even though there is always something to do during the day, I have the option to sit down for a little, if the need arises.

Anyway, let's get on with our post for today.  Have a blessed week friends!

The weather in my neck of the woods:::
We had a lot of rain but have a sunny, warm weather and clear week ahead.  Much as I love rain, I think we need a small reprieve right now.

Monday - Clear, 84
Tuesday - Sunny, 94
Wednesday - Sunny, 100
Thursday - Cloudy, 84
Friday - Partly cloudy, 91
Saturday - Partly cloudy, 94
Sunday - Partly cloudy, 92

As I look outside my window:::
Beautiful gorgeous morning.  There is a blue sky, not a single cloudy in sight and the sun is already shining so brightly.

Right now I am:::
Currently still sitting on my bed, it's just 7:29am so haven't even started my day.  I wish shortly, but for the moment, I'm working on this post and watching a YouTube video on the telly.

Something fun to share (a blog, a video, a tip):::
I've shared this channel before, but I thought I would share another of their videos.  Here's a Spring Vintage one for you.

Thinking and pondering:::
About the fact that I threw all care to the wind yesterday and indulged like I haven't in a year.  I am regretting it at the moment, the heart burn is ridiculous, the nausea and the sluggish feeling.  I am once again reminded why I changed my diet and why I need to continue and not indulge or fall for these days of eating literal junk.  Lesson learned.....AGAIN!

So today, back on the health train, not even sure what I'm going to eat because I feel so nauseous.  Might stick to a piece of multigrain toast just to settle my stomach, and do some salad for lunch.  The carbs are definitely being cut again and so are the sugars.

On my bedside table:::
My empty coffee cup, tv remote, lavender mist spray, my lamp and my vase of flowers.

On my tv:::
Homemaking vlogs
Book vlogs
More period dramas.

Listening to:::
The YouTube video on the television, the birds chirping outside and my turtle swimming up against the glass.

On the menu for this week:::

Monday - Chicken Pot Pie, Southern Style Green Beans
Tuesday - Fish Fillets in Tomato Sauce, Butter Garlic Rice, Zucchini in Tomato Sauce
Wednesday - Pork Cebolada, Mashed Potatoes, Salad
Thursday -  Mediterranean Ground Beef, Couscous, Bean Salad
Friday -  Homemade Pizza, Keto Pizza for me
Saturday - Fend for yourself
Sunday - Meatballs with Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, Asparagus

On my to do list:::
Change Bed linens
Water plants
Daily Bible reading and daily decree
Daily 10k steps
Carpet Clean
Dusting
Laundry
Start Patio clean

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Still working on the Star Blanket, and my puzzle.

My simple pleasure:::
Reading about Civil war, learning more about it and enjoying videos, documentaries or movies about the that time period as well.

Looking around the house:::
I need to give it a good start of the week clean.  The carpets also need cleaning AGAIN, due to the constant rain we've been getting.

From the camera:::
Rain photos.  I just love taking photos and love rain, so when I'm able to combine both, I usually end up with a wonderful shot.  Oh and clotheslines are a favorite for me too, so there's that.

Bible verse, Devotional:::
For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. - Ephesians 2:10

I felt rather sluggish after eating yesterday and I have no idea as to why. I wish we had clear skies today, but we are in for more rain. UGH! I love the video you shared. I might need to find more of them.

Fijne week!

100 on Wednesday, yikes! I'm praying for a mild summer, as it gets SO HOT living on the 2nd floor of a 100-year-old house with no central air! Every year I swear I won't stay through another summer but here I am!

I indulged yesterday too - pizza. I'm paying for that as well. Have a beautiful week ahead!
