Happy Homemaker Monday - 08/25/2025

Good morning everyone, welcome back.  How was your weekend?

It is another beautiful Monday morning, the sun is just starting to come out and the roosters are crowing happily, welcoming in the day.  I just saw Curt off to work, made my oatmeal, grabbed one more cup of coffee and have rounded up Kaia and Elliott back to bed.  They will nap, and I will work on this post.

Let's get right on it.  Have a wonderful blessed week my friends ♥

The weather:::
It's starting to cool down, so we have a pretty nice week ahead with temperatures staying in the low 80s.

As I look outside my window:::
We are in that moment where it's not dark anymore but it's not bright either, just small specks of light starting to show up on the horizon, peeking through the tree branches here and there.

Right now I am:::
Sitting in bed, I just ate my oatmeal.  I can never finish it all, usually only manage half of it, but it will keep me full for a while which is good.  Elliott is asleep on the floor near the bed, and Kaia is asleep on the bed under her blanket.  I am working on this post, while watching an episode of Star Trek Strange New Worlds on the TV.

Something fun to share (a blog, a video, a tip):::
If you love Fall and are looking for a sweet background ambience to listen to while going about your day, try this one from Cozy Nostalgic Oldies, a 1950's Vintage Autumn Ambience with some wonderful oldies music.

Thinking and pondering:::
I need to start my meal plan for the next two weeks, so currently I am thinking about what meals to make and what to add.

On my bedside table:::
Cup of coffee, oatmeal bowl, my current book and a bottle of water.

What I'm currently reading:::
Almost done with O Pioneers by Willa Cather.

On my tv:::
YouTube (homemaking, books, crime, fall inspired)
Christian sermons, prophets, teachings.
Star Trek New Strange Worlds

Listening to:::
Episode of Star Trek on the TV.  Curt and I are huge Star Trek fans, we've watched every show, every movie, anything star trek related.  We are currently watching this newer one and really enjoying it. But, I fell asleep during some of these episodes (no surprise there hahah), and am quickly catching up before we start the Third Season.

On the menu for this week:::
Not sure what I have still on the meal plan, but the new one will kick in on Wednesday, as always.

Monday - Turkish Tantuni Wraps, Salad
Tuesday - Garlic Lemon Tilapia, Tomato Rice, Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon
Wednesday - Sausage Lasagna Roll ups, Garlic Bread, Salad
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday - Family get together in Oklahoma, will be away all day
Sunday

On my to do list:::
Change Bed linens
Water plants
Daily Bible reading and daily decree
Daily 10k steps
Bathroom - paint chip in bathtub, change tank handle, clean and mop
Bedroom - Vacuum up webs from ceiling corners and window.  Wipe down windowsills and blinds, vacuum and carpet clean

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Crochet Bed for little Raven.
Retro Granny Squares for the books I've read.
A fall inspired home, pulling out decorations and will make a fall inspired pom pom garland today.

My simple pleasure:::
Sitting with our chickens, just watching them, picking them up and loving them.

Looking around the house:::
Need to do the usual after weekend clean up, but other than that it's looking fine.

From the camera:::
Fall popping up around the house.

Bible verse, prayer, devotional:::
Our church is doing a new series, that I mentioned last week in my post.  It's such a good message, we are loving it.  I thought I would share yesterday's sermon with you, hope you enjoy it.
