{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 02/09/2026 }

Good morning everyone :)

How was your weekend?  Did you have a quiet relaxing one or was it busy?  Mine was a mixture of both, I think Sundays are usually our busiest day, weird as that seems to say, but I wouldn't trade it.

So, here we are, a brand new week, one of my favorite days, Monday.  Don't cringe, I saw many of you pull a face, but it really is one of my favorite days, along with Friday and the weekend of course.  Mondays for me signify a new week to do better, to be better, to try harder.  Remember how God's mercies are new each day?  Yeah something like that, gives me a chance to right any wrongs from the previous week.

Here's to a blessed productive week ahead.  I hope you all have a wonderful week whatever you are doing.  If you are unwell, I pray you feel better, if you are doing something important I pray it goes well, and if you are just staying home, I pray for a productive week filled with God honoring moments.

Now, let's get on with our post.  By the way, if you haven't yet seen my blogiversary giveaway, you have until Friday to enter.  If you wish.

*** Right now I am ***
At my desk, I already got the washer going and did the breakfast dishes.  I am working on this post, listening to the TV and drinking my Cappuccino.

*** Thinking and pondering ***
Meals, and meal planning.  I need to work on the new menu today and am trying to remember some meals that I want to make and hoping I don't forget them.

*** How I am feeling ***
I'm doing well.  I didn't sleep much from Saturday to Sunday, but was able to get a good night's sleep last night, which helps a lot.  Anyone else feel cranky when they haven't slept well?  Everything gets on my nerves to the point where I myself get on my nerves.  hahah

*** On the breakfast plate ***
Cappuccino, 2 scrambled eggs and a Keto 90 Second Microwave bread, toasted with a little butter and a small cheese wedge.

*** On the lunch plate ***
Salad.

*** On the dinner plate ***
Sticky Asian Chicken, Rice, Sauteed Squash

*** On the menu ***
Will work on the new meal plan and that will start on Wednesday

Monday - Sticky Asian Chicken, Sesame Noodles, Sauteed Squash
Tuesday -  Steak and Shrimp, Salad, Sweet Potato Wedges
Wednesday - Seafood Rissoles, tomato rice, salad
Thursday -
Friday
Saturday - Fend for yourself
Sunday -

*** What I am wearing ***
My go to stay at home uniform, for the days I am not leaving the house at all.  Black leggings and a t shirt.  I have a white t shirt on today with the words "Early Mornings, Big shirts, Messy hair, Instagram and Coffee".

*** On my reading pile ***
I am doing really well with my reading this year.  I have finished the trilogy from Megan Soja and have started a book that I have been wanting to read for a long time.  It is my Tessa Afshar and it's called Land of Silence.  It is a Christian fiction based on one of my favorite bible stories, the woman with the bleeding problem.

As for the Bible, last week I said I wanted to start Ephesians, well I changed my mind.  I think it's time to read the whole Bible again from beginning to end, so I'm starting Genesis again.

*** On my TV this week ***
I watched random things here and there.  Some Turkish shows, some Hallmark and Up Faith and Family movies, and I'm also watching  Emily of New Moon.

I do have a few new period dramas to share with you all, so that will be coming up this week.

*** Looking around the house ***
It is bright, it's just past 9:15 AM.  I still need to go and get the house tidied up and set to order after the weekend.  But everything looks so cozy.  I love winter days but this sun shining so brightly gets me excited for Spring and planting a garden again.

*** To do list for today***
Daily homemaking chores
Water inside plants
Daily bible reading and devotional/bible study

*** What I am creating ***
I have a Christmas puzzle on the go, and still have my crochet blanket which I am hoping to pick back up this week, as well as the knitted hat.

*** From the camera ***
Just love this little mushroom incense burner.  I think I'm in my mushroom and woodsy animals era.

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***
Last week I shared a post with a Bible verse, which was Matthew 6:25-34.  It's such a good reminder to not let the daily things get to us and to remember that God is in control.

Funny enough yesterday's message at church, our Pastor read this exact same verse.  How we need to enjoy the moments that God gives us and not be anxious, about the things that God is up to.  WE don't understand everything He does, matter of face I hardly ever understand what is happening LOL  But I do know that in the end, it doesn't matter because God works all things for good and I always end up understanding, sometimes years later, why certain things happened in my life.

If you're interested in listening to the word, you can do so here.

Your supper for tonight sounds yummy. We're having Butter chicken over rice.
It's cold here, but the sun is shining and we're not supposed to get snow, so that makes me happy. I'm in jeans and a soft, cozy sweatshirt - my winter wardrobe!
Have a good day!

Your weather sure has been ALL the place this year! We're FINALLY seeing winter here! I hope it doesn't warm up too fast for you and bring ungodly temperatures, though it is Texas and I know that's always a possibility for you. Have a wonderful week my friend.

It is sunny here too, but our temperatures have been awful. Thankfully, it is to be almost 50 today!!

No, I am never cranky after short nights. Maybe because I am used to them. Well trained by the kids.

Have a great day!!

Happy new week dear Friend! I always love how cozy it looks and feels here in your blog domain. I love that little mushroom and I think I'm always in my woodsy era! Lol So feel free to share that all the time. :) I need to go check about your blogaversary and giveaway so I'll be doing that next! I love that He says in the bible Be Not Afraid 365. That brings such comfort - especially in todays world. Blessings to you xoxo
