The weather in my neck of the woods:
I'm freezing this morning, for the first time around 5am this morning, I had to get up and turn on the heat. Hate that smell when it first turns on though...BLECH!
Things that make me happy:
Book I'm reading:
Finished my last one but don't have anything lined up yet, have so many to choose from so I'm sure I'll find something.
What's on my TV today:
Living with the Amish - new show on Channel 4 in the UK.
On the menu for dinner:
Italian Sausage and Penne with Garlic Bread
Italian Sausage and Penne with Garlic Bread
On my To Do List:
Homeschooling
Sweep and mop
Iron
Christmas Gifts....crochet, sewing, crafting, all sorts of goodies.Looking forward to this week:
Finishing up some more Christmas gifts, Christmas shopping and enjoying our beautiful tree :)
Tips and Tricks:
Don't really have one this morning
My favorite blog post this week:
I don't remember the last time I had time to open my Google Reader...I do miss blog hopping.
Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
Lemons for Lemonade, love this crafty blog :)
No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):
Our beautiful live Christmas tree :)
Lesson learned the past few days:
That it is normal to second guess yourself when it comes to being a parent. To question whether you really are being the best you can be, doing what is needed to keep your children happy and healthy and teaching them to be caring, respectful human beings. So when you see your children in action and get compliments from strangers on how wonderful they are, it really does warm the heart and make you realize that you ARE doing well.
On my mind:
Gifts, crafts, planning, doing
Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
– John 15:12-13

I am SO going to make time to watch that "Living with the Amish". I'll claim the laptop if I have to in order to watch it and not interrupt with work. LOL!
Looks like Living with the Amish is going to be a hit! :)
I hate the horrid smell of a heater that hasn't been on for a while. It's all the dust burning off.
That show sounds interesting! I will have to check it out! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Man... I kept thinking, I need to start my Christmas gifts... other stuff happened... kept thinking need to get going, and now I really need to finish them up! Love making homemade but really should start in July!! lol
Love your verse too! :)
It's freezing in my house but I keep piling on the blankets because I don't want the sinus congestion that comes with turning on the heater for the first time!
Love your blog :-)
I wanted to say I too hate the smell when the heat first comes on! Ugh. We have gas heat, & when we first ran it through this yr, it was giving us headaches! bleh!
I miss having a live tree. I only wish I could smell yours too!
It is cold here also. I didn't know that So. Cal could get this cold ): Of course my kids all wore shorts to school but...
I used to live in Glendale. I noticed you said you were freezing! lol I remember being there when it got cold enough to have to wear a coat. Of course, now I live in Alaska, so we have freezing weather most of the year!

Oh, and I see you're watching Once Upon a Time too. My husband and I were afraid it would get canceled because our favorite shows normally get cut off in the 1st or 2nd years. I was happy that the network ordered another season, so we'll get to keep watching it for a while!
