Happy Homemaker Monday - 03/12/2018

Good morning and happy Monday.

Oh my goodness friends, this time change always messes with me.  I miss living in Arizona and never having to worry about Daylight Savings.  Was getting up in the dark again this morning, as hard for me as it was for you?  Always takes a few days for my body to catch up with the time change.

But, let's forget that for now and get on with our Happy Homemaker Monday.

Breakfast time....what is on the plate this morning::::
Just had my second cup of coffee (don't ask, it's much needed today), and a bread roll with butter and cheese.  Simple but one of my favorite go to breakfasts.  .

On today's to do list::::
  1. Laundry - Finish Jasmine's laundry, wash bed linens
  2. Kitchen - Usual clean up and tidying
  3. Living Rooms -  Dust, vacuum and tidy up.
  4. Carpet clean
  5. Organize yarn and transfer the yarn from the big plastic bag it is in, to a box.
Currently reading::::
Finished Whisper by Mark Batterson, and have started Hurricane Season.

On the TV this week::::
Jamestown Season 2
Coal House at War (you can watch on Youtube)
General Hospital
Portuguese Soap "A Herdeira"

The weather outside is::::
We had a gorgeous weekend, 80 degree weather, I was even able to wear sandals.  This morning, back to 30 degrees and cold.  I'm so so so and I mean SO sick of this weather.

On the menu this week::::

Monday - Crockpot Lemon Pepper Chicken with Rice
Tuesday - Fish Stew, Buttermilk Biscuits (still haven't made the fish stew, so doing it this week)
Wednesday - Slow Cooked Bratwurst, Potato Salad
Thursday - Extra Crispy Fried Chicken, Fries
Friday -  Steaks with Mushroom Gravy, Potato and Carrot Mash
Saturday -Guinness Beef Stew, Irish Soad Bread
Sunday -Southwest Chicken Tortilla Pinwheels

If I have a few minutes to myself, I will::::
Try to make a few more squares for the blanket.  I was only able to get yarn yesterday and they only had 1 skein at my local Walmart.  Well, one skein of the Bernat Pop I'm using.
Also hoping to start my seedlings today.

What I'm sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating::::
Slowly getting the squares done, even though it is sooooo boring for me.  I don't particularly like blankets or any crochet projects made out of individual squares because they become quite repetitive.

New recipe I tried, or want to try this week::::
Today's crockpot lemon chicken is a new recipe, and there are a few coming up as well from the new cookbook I'm reviewing.

Favorite photo from the camera::::
Don't always get a chance to enjoy a nice hot bath.  Last week I was able to and loved every minute of soaking in the tub with wonderful scented bath bubbles, wine and a good book.

Bible Verse, Devotional::::
I'm still making my way through a few devotionals on my Bible App.  One of those that I'm quite enjoying is Discerning the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer.  So good :)

Between this roller coaster weather we are having and the time change I'm all messed up! I want to be wearing my flip flops at all times! LOL And as for the time change I pray that when it changes back in November they decide t leave it there permanently like most of the rest of the world! Have a GREAT week.

80? We are still in the cold temps here. I am using it as my excuse to use the entire month for deep cleaning (saving some for April though).

Love the photo you shared, looks so relaxing. We have the same weather although I don't think it's been quite warm enough to break out sandals yet. Hope you have a wonderful week!

I always love to see what your knitting or projects you're working on. ;) That lemon chicken sounds so good - would love to see that one. I love that your menu is always so "international" Lol!

So happy you got in a nice bath for yourself. Us Moms need to pamper ourselves more for sure!!
Have a blessed week ahead Sandra. Love sharing my Mondays with you. xoxo

Hello dear! Oh I so hate time change! Not my thing at all! I am doing squares for a friend's blanket. They are easy have only 8 rows and I can do them in my sleep!

I hear you, Sandra! I wish that they'd do away with Daylight Savings Time altogether and just keep the time like it's supposed to be. Sandal weather! I'm waiting for it! Bought me a new pair today! Have a great week ahead! Blessings! <3

It's been almost a week and the time change is still messing with me. The older I get the harder I find it to adjust. Our weather has been crazy this year. So many snowfall warnings and so much more snow than I ever remember. Definitely not sandal weather here yet
