{ Blogtober 2025 - Day 15 - Fall movies to watch }

It is that time of year, when you turn on Hallmark channel and indulge in all the seasonal sweet movies.

I do the same during November and December for all the Christmas movies, and even though there are way more of those to watch than Fall themed, we still have a few that are just the cutest.  I have watched pretty much all of them, save for a few, but don't you worry, they will be watched over the next two weeks.

So, are you looking for a cute movie with all the beautiful October foliage?

Here you are:

Under the Autumn Moon – Big city corporate gal visits a dude ranch decked out for the season (fall; the fall season!) and meets a hunky ranch owner, who teaches her to love the great outdoors.

Love, Fall & Order – It’s another pumpkin farm! And this time, there’s a fall festival at risk, as childhood debate rivals (now lawyers) played by Erin Cahill and Trevor Donovan now compete over a case involving said farm and festival.

Autumn Dreams -  Years after the annulment of their spontaneous marriage a couple discovers a mistake in the paperwork that means they are still husband and wife.

A Harvest WeddingSarah Bloom is hired to plan the most anticipated wedding of the season. The problem: The groom is from her home town and wants the wedding on the family farm.

Harvest LoveA doctor from Seattle returns to her family farm to reconnect with her son and finds more than she can imagine.A doctor from Seattle returns to her family.

Falling for VermontA best-selling author who got amnesia as a result of a car accident finds refuge with the local doctor of an idyllic small town in Vermont.

Autumn in the cityOptimistic Piper gives herself two months to find her passion in New York City.

Autumn at Apple HillNewly divorced Elise starts renovating the inn she inherited from her grandparents, catching the eye of Luke, the chief financial officer of a major hotel.

{ Blogtober 2025 - Day 14 - An Autumn Poem }

John Keats - 1795—1821

To Autumn

 Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
  Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
  With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
  And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
    To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
  With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
    For summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.

Who hath not seen thee oft amid thy store?
  Sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find
Thee sitting careless on a granary floor,
  Thy hair soft-lifted by the winnowing wind;
Or on a half-reap'd furrow sound asleep,
  Drowsed with the fume of poppies, while thy hook
    Spares the next swath and all its twined flowers:
And sometimes like a gleaner thou dost keep
  Steady thy laden head across a brook;
  Or by a cider-press, with patient look,
    Thou watchest the last oozings, hours by hours.

Where are the songs of Spring? Ay, where are they?
  Think not of them, thou hast thy music too,--
While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day,
  And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue;
Then in a wailful choir the small gnats mourn
  Among the river sallows, borne aloft
    Or sinking as the light wind lives or dies;
And full-grown lambs loud bleat from hilly bourn;
  Hedge-crickets sing; and now with treble soft
  The redbreast whistles from a garden-croft,
    And gathering swallows twitter in the skies.

*** Devotional, Prayers, Bible Verses ***
Today my heart is so overwhelmed, happy and filled with joy, as the last surviving hostages have been released back to Israel.  I praise the Lord for this momentous moment and pray for them all and their families.

Though glad that they are finally free after 2 years, and back with their family, they will have a very long healing journey ahead.  If you didn't know, many of the survivors from the horrible October 7 massacre, have since committed suicide.  It is heartbreaking!!!

Keeping them all in my prayers.

{ Blogtober 2025 - Day 12 - Just a quick walk after church }

IMG_9811

For the past few weeks, Curt has been taking our dog Kaia for a walk, every Saturday and Sunday.  She actually comes to him around noon or 1pm, starts whining and running to the door.  She loves going on walks, seeing the horses we have right next door, sniffing everything in sight, saying hi to the neighborhood dogs and enjoying the fresh air.

By the time she gets back home she is exhausted, and then proceeds to take a long nap.  She is such a sweet girl.

I decided to tag along today, camera in hand of course, and just snapped a few pics.

Funny enough one of the horses next to us, looks like our sweet Marley that died 3 years ago.  As we approached I said out loud "Marley", and no joke the horse turned around.  Hahahah

It caught me by surprised, even my husband was like "well that was weird".  Yes it was, especially since the horse didn't just turn around but quickly made it's way right to me.

I don't have much else to share today.  Sunday's are so busy for us, we have gym early morning, then rush home to shower and change then head to church, then home to have some lunch, then Curt takes Kaia for a walk while I zip around the house with laundry and dishes, then I get to sit for maybe 30 minutes before starting dinner because Jasmine and her boyfriend come over every Sunday night for a family meal/game/movie.

By the time they leave, I have just enough energy in me to tidy things up, close down the house, take my shower and head to bed.

So I leave you with just these few photos, and wish you a blessed rest of Sunday.

See you all tomorrow for Happy Homemaker Monday!

{ Blogtober 2025 - Day 11 - A homey day }

IMG_9749

Saturday has been a homey day, with the usual chores, and some reading and crochet thrown in, in between episodes of the newest British Baking Show which I LOVE.

I thought I would just keep this one short and dump a bunch of photos instead.  :)

I've been asked many times, what do I use on my face because my skin is so good for my age, which is 51 by the way, in case you didn't know.

I am a Nivea girl through and through, have always used it on my face, since my teenage years and continue to do so.  I just don't understand the need to put 20 products on my face, all super expensive.  I guess I'm old fashioned.

The only other product I do use on my face at night is the Pond's Rejuveness.  That's it!  Sorry to disappoint you Hahahah

Got laundry going, as always, and also reorganized by tea drawer.

We have a cup of tea every night, after dinner, while we play games as a family.  It's become a habit that we love.

A cup of milky tea was very much needed this morning.  I love carrying it around while I do my chores.

Part 2 of the Solstice Star Blanket, was released on Friday.  I was so looking forward to it, spent all week checking the day and couldn't wait for Friday morning to arrive.

I am soooooo enjoying this pattern and the color combo I picked.  Nothing my usual colors, but just so pretty.

I also picked up some more of the yarn I am using, and thankfully my Walmart had it.  I don't want to run out.

Afternoons are usually spent sitting on my bed with a cup of tea or coffee and a good book.  Really enjoying this one by Katie Lumsden, and much to my surprise, I didn't even realize that the author of the book, Katie, is actually one of my favorite booktubers and I've been following her forever.

How did I not know she wrote this book?

She does have another which I plan on getting next month.

And just like that, my Saturday was over.  I feel like I didn't get much done before it was bedtime again, but that's how it's been going lately, days and weeks just disappear right before our eyes.
