Review:
Last year, I was blessed with my first Louis Giglio book.  It was called  'Don't give the enemy a seat at your table'.  It was my first by the author and I knew from that moment on, it certainly wouldn't be my last.

Louis Giglio has a way of writing and conveying his faith and his experiences, that make it feel like you're sitting down for a cup of coffee, with an old friend.  It just flows, and because of that style of writing, the words go straight into your heart and head, and remain there, nudging at you for weeks after you're done with that particular book.

In At the Table with Jesus, he takes us through 66 days of teachings, to draw us closer to God and really strengthen our faith.  I've struggled my whole life with Faith.  It is one of those things that seem to trip up a lot of Christians.  The following blindly, knowing and accepting that things will turn out fine, even when everything around you is pointing elsewhere, or seeming to be falling apart.

It is believing, without ceasing, without failing, without worrying.

I certainly need to strengthen my faith, and I think that Louis Giglio's book is a huge step in conquering the second thoughts, the doubts, the what if's that tend to stumble through my life, at times preventing me from just trusting and letting go.

The book is divided into 11 sections, which are the 11 foundational truths about who Jesus is....so the first category is titled Jesus is God.  Within those sections, we have 6 days, with each day giving us a verse, a small blurb from Louis, response questions to what we just read and a scripture memory.

For example on the first day, the response questions are:

What risks are you taking when you acknowledge that Jesus is God?
What rewards will you receive by making that confession?

And the scripture memory is 1 John 4:15.
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

Each section or category, focuses on the same memory verse, so 1 John 4:15 is the verse to memorize the first 6 days, and then next 6 days is John 1:14, and so on.

The readings for each day are pretty short so you won't feel like you're being flooded with too much information, or you won't have time to read throughout the busy day ahead.

Honestly, this book is a treasure to have.  I can see myself going back for many years, and re-reading each Day to solidify my Faith in Christ.

Thank you to TLC Book Tours and Thomas Nelson for providing me with a review copy.
