31 Days of Prayer for my Husband - Day 30 and 31

And we've come to an end with our prayers.  I know that it hasn't been easy for many of us, there have been some struggles and some bumps along the way, but I think we're all the better for doing this :)

So here is a link to a downloadable PDF file, 31 Days of Prayer for my Husband,  with all the prayers so that you can use it again in the future.

Thank you all for joining in, I'm hoping that the lack of comments during these posts doesn't in any way reflect the participation, hoping many of you were just praying offline :)

Day 30
Pray that your husband will serve God and others with pure motives. Pray that he will obey the Lord from his heart, and glorify Him in everything. (1 Cor. 10:13; John 7:17-18; Col. 3:23-24)

1 Corinthians 10:13

13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[c] he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

John 7:17-18

17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. 18 Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.

Colossians 3:23-24

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Day 31
Pray that your husband will recognize the lies of the Enemy in his life. Pray that his attitudes and actions will be guided by the truth as he brings his thoughts into captivity to the Word of God. (John 8:44; 2 Cor. 10:4-5)

John 8:44 (King James Version)

44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (King James Version)

4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

1 Thessalonians 5:17

17 pray continually,

15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.

1 Corinthians 7

Concerning Married Life
7 I wish that all of you were as I am. But each of you has your own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that.

31 Days of Prayer for my Husband - Day 27

Day 27
Pray that your husband will understand the importance of taking care of his body—the temple of the Holy Spirit—for the glory of God. Pray that he will practice self-control by making wise food choices, and get sufficient exercise to stay healthy. (Rom. 12:1-2; 1 Cor. 6:19-20, 9:27)

Romans 12

A Living Sacrifice
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1 Corinthians 9:27

27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.

BTW, I realized that I completely forgot to give you the prayer for the 24th, so here it is:

Day 24
Pray that your husband will have a balanced life—that he will balance work and play. Pray that he will fear God, but also gain favor with people he knows at work and church. (Luke 2:52; Prov. 13:15)

31 Days of Prayer for my Husband - Day 12

So, how is everyone doing?   Have you been able to continue praying for your husbands or have you found yourself struggling at times?

Speaking for myself the very first week was really hard, we were butting heads, we were fighting constantly and we were not happy.  I honestly felt like I was under attack and not just a little attack, a full on spiritual attack and it was really hard to stand strong and keep going.

But I did and let me tell you something, the past 4 days we have been laughing so much, we've had amazing moments together and I can feel the power of these prayers working in our marriage.  It's truly something wonderful.

I hope you are all feeling the same way.  I know most of you don't leave comments so I'm not sure who is following along with the prayers, but I would like to ask you all to please check in today and let us all know how you're fairing, if anything it may just give someone who is having a hard time, a little nudge and encouragement to keep going.

So will you please leave a comment????  Thank you and God Bless.

Day 12
Pray that your husband will yield his sexual drive to the Lord and practice self control. Pray that your sexual intimacy together will be fresh, positive, and a reflection of selfless love. (Prov. 5:15, 18; 1 Cor. 7:3; Song of Solomon 7:10)

Proverbs 5:15, 18 (New International Version)
