Pink Zebra Sprinkles Review and GIVEAWAY!!!

So when I first received the sprinkles, I was honestly wondering if something so tiny could give enough scent to my whole room.  I got it going and within 3 minutes the whole living room was smelling absolutely amazing.

I've been able to try out a few different scents, like the Prairie Sky which I loved, as well as Stonewashed Denim, another favorite.  During the Thanksgiving holiday I mainly stuck to Ooey Gooey Caramel and Pumpkin Bread and OH MY WORD, divine.

Be sure to check out their products page for all the wonderful scents, and remember that with the sprinkles you can mix and match and combine to your hearts content.

For example......

Did you know that if you mix Ooey Gooey Caramel and Crisp Apple you get a Caramel Apple scent?

And if you mix Winter Woods and Amaretto Cream you end up with the scent of a glazed donut.  Oh my word!!!!

 Another favorite for many seems to be Arctic Mist which is a combination of Turquoise Waters and Winter Woods.  You can even get Dr. Pepper scent by mixing Cherry Pie and Amaretto Cream, I think my husband would LOVE that one as he's such a fan of Dr. Pepper.

Happy Homemaker Monday - 12/07/2015

Good morning dear friends, how are you all this Monday?

I had quite an eventful weekend, to be honest, a messed up washer, a flooded kitchen and pantry and two dead mice.  Can you beat that excitement?  Haha

Right, let's get into our week at a glance and see what is coming up.

The weather outside is::::

36 degrees and clear right now.  We've had some pretty cold weather, but this week we are actually supposed to go up into the 70's.  Goodness!!!  

On the breakfast plate this morning::::

Had a big cup of coffee with White Chocolate Raspberry Creamer, and 2 pieces of Cinnamon Raisin toast with butter.  Yummy!!!   

As I look outside my window:::

The sun just came up and from my bedroom window I get the perfect view.  The birds are chirping, and the yard is bathed in a gorgeous golden light.  I do love mornings. 

Right now I am::::

Sitting in bed, Lola is laying next to me sleeping and Bella is on her bed on the ground snoring away.  I'm typing up this post and also watching The Voice Portugal on my computer. 

As I look around the house::::

Need to do some tidying up in the living room, the family room is actually tidy.  It's starting to look a lot like Christmas, we have our trees up and some small decorations out.  I'm hoping to get everything else out this week. 

On today's to do list::::

Laundry....Have a load in the dryer at the moment, also have two sets of bed sheets to wash.  Cleaning....In the kitchen, Unload the dishwasher and reload with breakfast dishes.  
In the living room....Vacuum, dust and tidy up a bit, put out some more decorations, make sure the Christmas tree has water.
In the bedrooms....make the beds, pick up and tidy up, open curtains and blinds and windows to let in some fresh air.
In the bathrooms....clean the toilets, sinks and mirrors.
Homeschooling....prepare the lessons, check grades.


Cooking.....for lunch I'm thinking soup, I'll have tomato and basil and the kids will probably choose the chicken noodle.

A home.  Still trying to get completely moved in and work on projects around the house.  The past few months have flown by and even though we've been in this house and in Texas for 6 months, we've had so much family over and so many things going on that we haven't really been able to work on anything.

Nothing new, I haven't tried any recipes in a long time.  I honestly need to though.

Grocery Haul

Alrighty ladies, I'm back with a Grocery Haul and a Menu Plan for the next two weeks.

I did my grocery shopping at the commissary, as usual, and stayed under budget at $246, even though I did buy a few extra bits and bobs for Christmas baking and a few treats for us too.

I think next year I might switch to recording my grocery hauls with video, might be a little easier because this way I have to take so many pictures and just feels like a bit more work, but I don't mind, just saying that maybe I'll try vlogging the hauls from January forward.

Let me show you what I bought.  1 box of corndogs, 2 boxes of pizza rolls for kid lunches, brown sugar and honey sausages for breakfast, 2 packs of hotdogs, mixed veggies, stir fry mix, dinosaur shaped nuggets



1 gallon of milk, white chocolate raspberry creamer, whipped cream cheese, chicken thighs, pork loin, pepperoni panini as a special treat for hubby and I, beef and cheese chimichangas, spinach



2 packs of shredded cheese, sliced cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce, leek, tangerines, 2 avocados



Texas giant bread loaf, pumpkin spice loaf, raisin cinnamon loaf, hotdog buns, plain and cinnamon raisin bagels



Macaroni and cheese, 2 beef ravioli, one bacon cheddar chicken pasta, one buffalo chicken pasta, chicken noodle soup, chicken and dumplings and tomato basil soup.  I've been craving tomato soup and it's so weird because I've never liked it.



Ramen noodles, as always for kid lunches



Chili for hotdogs, actually bought 2 cans but couldn't find the second one until much later, it had fallen in the trunk of the car.  2 pasta sauces, cannelini beans, 2 tomato sauce, one diced tomatoes, 2 tuna cans for tuna salad for lunches, pineapple slices for homemade pizza



Stir Fry mix for one meal, bacon pieces for salad, macaroni pasta, rigatoni pasta



2 wildberry muffin mixes, 2 banana nut muffin mixes



Pepperoni for pizza, roasted garlic hummus, butter and grapes



Nescafe instant coffee, Folgers toasted hazelnut ground coffee, ranch dressing, 4 aero mint bars as a treat for us, sage, garlic powder, oregano, mincemeat for me to make mincemeat pies for Christmas and Weetabix for me for breakfast


Taco shells, chicken in a biskit crackers, slim jim sticks for hubby and son, twinkies, goldfish and a summer sausage for hubby, he loves these



4 advent calendars, 2 for the kids and 2 for the hubby and I.  Tortilla chips to eat with the hummus, 2 bags of cheddar fries for me and Jasmine, kettle cooked chips and mini pretzels



3 bags of dog treats, 2 beef flavor and a science diet peanut butter and banana.  Oxi clean for the dishwasher (I am really liking these, they are actually getting the dishes clean), trash bags, kleenex, cotton balls, paper towel rack, method cleaner, nail polish remover, deodorant, lever soap bars and toilet paper



Last, I picked up these miniature roses.  I'm missing having plants around and had to leave them all back in Idaho, so figured I could start up my collection again.



It wasn't a very big haul, I still had ground beef, steak and sausage in the freezer from last week that we didn't get to eat as we were eating Thanksgiving leftovers.


I'll share the menu plan for the next two weeks tomorrow, I wanted to include it in this post but I left it in the other room and I have the worst headache right now and really don't want to get back up again.  You obviously can't see me, but I'm typing this up from my bed, it's been a crazy busy day with my washer deciding to flood my kitchen, and hubby and I having to run around all day trying to fix it....but that's a story for tomorrow, I promise I'll share in a day in the life post for Monday :)

Hello Friends!!!

I am here, still here, still living, still around, just unfortunately been very busy the past two weeks.

I honestly haven't had a chance to blog much, actually, none at all, but I wanted to let you know that things have slowed down and I am going to be back at it tomorrow.

Grocery Haul and Menu Plan post is coming up in the morning, then on Monday along with our usual Happy Homemaker Monday, I will have a review on Pink Zebra Sprinkles, then Tuesday a review on some Matcha Green Tea.

Interspersed with those there will be Day in the Life posts, Christmas posts and cooking and all sorts of things going on.

I am quite chuffed to get back on track with the blogging, and I do so hope you're all still around and doing well.

So, just wanted to come in real quick to let you know what was going on, I'm sure you've also noticed the template changes, I wanted something Christmasy but don't have anything I like and it's something I am going to be working on this week, so for now, this will do.

My Thoughts:

I'm a huge fan of criminal shows, and prison documentaries etc.  I've always been fascinated by these individuals and often wonder what it is that leads them to doing certain things and committing crimes etc.  Their backstory is usually what I find interesting.

This book is something that I knew I would enjoy reading, and that I did.

It follows the story of 10 former inmates, their lives, their fight with the judicial system all in their quest for freedom.

I thoroughly enjoyed each and every story, knowing what crime they were accused of and how they fought back trying to prove their innocence.  For a lot of these inmates, being set free after so many years incarcerated, is not easy and they often struggle to adapt back into society.

If you enjoy stories like these, you will absolutely love reading this book.
