Thank God it's Friday!!!

Ugh it's been one of those weeks, raining constantly, everything is wet and mushy and I don't know what I step on when I walk outside....it's just gross I tell ya.

I finally got the hang of driving my Durango and no longer slam on brakes or squeal my wheels, I'm sure the whole population of this Air Base is thankful for it. *snort*

I laugh about it now, but I was getting so frustrated trying to get used to these brakes, I honestly felt like the village idiot behind the wheel. Thank goodness it's over and done with!

I'm loving my new baby, but there is just one thing that is ruining it for me right now....the constant bickering and fighting between the kids and where they get to sit. Yeah, because you see up until now there was no choice, they sat down in the back and that was it, but now there's the middle seat and the back seat, so now it's all a choice of who sits where.....

"I don't want to sit next to him"....
"I don't want Jasmine near me".....
"I want to sit on the right side"....
"no, I WANT to sit behind mommy".

See what I deal with every morning??? What is it with siblings and the constant need to act like they hate each other, is that somewhere in the "Sibling 101 Memo"...I don't remember reading it but I did it myself with my brothers and now I guess it's my way of seeing just how annoying I was. So I humbly apologize to my family, sorry I was such a pain in the behind. LOL

I'm going to do a meme today, one that my wonderful friend Jen had up and she kind of bullied us into doing it....LOL I'm just kidding, she is so not a bully....she did say she wanted us all to do it, and hey I can't say no to a friend, so look for the meme at the end of this post.

It's friday, and if you're a big General Hospital fan, you KNOW that today is an important day for all of us Jason and Sam fans, I know it's just a soap, but do a girl a favor and just humor me will ya? LOL
I've been waiting for these two to reunite forever, this whole past summer of sleaze was just disgusting but hey, it's soap at it's best right, the more weird and out there things are, the better the ratings.

I don't know if there will be posts this weekend, I will be out most of the time doing christmas shopping, I can't believe I have yet to buy one single present, time just seems to have flown by. We're going to head to Boise which is about 45 miles from base, there really is nothing nearby to do some serious shopping at, the closest thing is Walmart and that is 15 miles away....so we get to go to the big city (well as big as Boise can be lol) and shop and have a nice meal and just have some fun. I can't wait!!!

I'm hoping all my christmas cards got out in time, for some reason our mailman was acting weird....he came by 2 days in a row, dropped off the new mail and left the cards sitting there, finally by day 3 I just picked them up myself and drove to the post office to drop them off. What is up with that huh??? Do you NOT see the pretty envelopes waiting to be taken???

I'm off for the day, have tons of stuff to do. Before I leave though I want to remind you of the Christmas Tour of Homes - Starts today, everyone has been eagerly anticipating it, so run on over to Boo Mama's Christmas Tour of Homes and check out all the participants.

Don't forget today's recipe is already posted at Full Bellies....Easy Candy-Bar Treats. Enjoy!!!

12 Days of Baking - Day 2 - White Chocolate Snowdrift Cake
12 Days of Baking - Day 3 - Toffee Butter Crunch

Have fun shopping in Boise. You should go to the Cheesecake Factory when you go to the mall. It just opened. Have a nice day!

I'm glad you got that issue with the brakes under control, Sandra. I love the way you *snort* - cracks me up every time.

You and me both - I haven't purchsed a single gift yet. I've made some but now I have to spend this whole weekend running all over the place, including the dreaded MALL. I'm an idiot. You're not an idiot. I'm not saying that. OK, we're both idiots. LOL

What??!!! No tour? Please post at least a photo of tree. It sounds gorgeous. No pressure. I mean, I'm not saying you have to. OK, I am.

Poor MomRN2 over at My Quiet Corner is trying to reach you. Blogger won't let her leave a comment here and there's no email link in your profile.

So please run over and see her.

So glad you figured out the brakes! And the line about you being the village idiot killed me!! LOL. I've seen that meme around, it's one that I really enjoy reading!

Great to hear that you have been able to tame those brakes into shape!
Have fun in Boise! I've never been to ID before, but it's on my list of states to go.
Have fun shopping! I've gotten Steve stocking stuffers, but I can't figure out what to get for under the tree! I find men hard to shop for b/c of lack of $, they're toys are sooo expensive!
Love reading the meme.
I've been enjoying your recipes.
Hugs

glad you're getting used to the brakes now :)

You could make a schedule with the kids and every other day they get to sit behind you!

Glad to hear you are getting used to the Durango. The only problem is how will your neighbors know you are coming down the street if they don't hear the squeal of your wheels. It's just one of those things people get used to.
I'm glad to see you did the meme too. I thought it was a nice and easy one.
I have to say I have just started my shopping today. I just can't find the time. You are lucky to be able to make a day out of it and enjoy a nice meal too. I am just running from store to store this morning when the kids went to school. I met a lot of people on line who have just started shopping also. One thing is you can sometimes get pretty good deals this week becaues they think they are not going to be selling as much as at the beginning of the month. Good luck and have a nice time.

'sbeen awful here too, 'dreich' the Scottish call it, that horrible constant gray drizzle.

I'm not keen on fruit cake either, but what can you do at Christmas other than fruitcake, lol I suppose I could surpise people with sponge cake underneath the icing.

Hugs :)

Oh goodness. Shopping... the chaos. And bickering kids -- even more chaos. When do we moms get to just go on a Spa vacation?!?! That's what I want for Christmas!
