Happy Homemaker Monday - 10/-7/2013

Good Monday morning friends, hope you've had a good weekend and are ready for this week ahead :)

I decided to change the look for Fall and I must say, I'm quite happy with the result.  While I was doing that though, I realized that my Happy Homemaker Monday buttons needed a little updating too, so this is the new one for Fall.  Feel free to use it, if you wish :)

The Weather:::
48 degrees right now.  Looks like another nice fall week ahead with some more rain.

Right now I am:::
Drinking my cup of coffee, writing this post up and chatting with my sister in law.

Thinking:::
About everything I have to get done today.

On my reading pile:::
Finished my Liz Curtis Higgs book and started one by Lori Copeland :)

On my tv:::
Last night's Downton Abbey
The Witches of East End
Ghost Adventures
Sleepy Hollow
Haven

On the menu for this week:::

Monday - Creamy White Chicken Chili
Tuesday - Beef Curry
Wednesday - Chicken Stew
Thursday - Zuppa Toscana
Friday -  Steaks, Twice Baked Potato Casserole
Saturday - Mom's Cassoulet
Sunday -  Lasagna, Salad

On my to do list:::
For once, I have NO laundry.  I'm quite shocked and don't know what to do with myself LOL Homeschooling
Tae Kwon Do
Run errands

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Finishing off the second boot cuff.  Then I'm starting some leg warmers for myself and Jasmine.

Looking around the house:::
Have a load of breakfast dishes soaking in hot soapy water, have to wash those here shortly.
The living room needs a little picking up from this weekend and I need to give the floors a quick sweep and a vacuum.
There are Fall and Halloween decorations up here and there, it's starting to look so cute around here.

From the camera:::

On my prayer list:::
My brother as he starts his new job.
My sister in law as she continues her search for a job.

Bible verse, Devotional:::

You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1 NIV

Seems like things are much cooler where you are. Here in PA it's been so hot. I like the warm weather but it's ridiculous to be sweating in October. It was in the mid 80's this weekend. Hope you enjoy your week and I wish your brother lots of luck at his new job.

Though I haven't commented in awhile, I have been earnestly following your move to 'home' in Idaho and setting up your new life-on-the-outside, and I am so glad to see the sparkle come back into your posts as your hubby and brother find jobs, and Fall is all around!! I love your new blog-topper photos...warm and cozy :-) I am so sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing...sadly, I lost my dear mother in May and my summer tilted wildly. I am beginning to recover and much of the help is from my daughter who is now a freshman at Mississippi State University and LOVING it!! Family is SO important.

blessings,

I SO want cold weather. It has been so unseasonably warm here!! But right now it is cold, windy and raining. AHHH yes!

Someday I would like to pick up knitting again. I did it as a kid.

Our weather is finally starting to look like yours! I'm so excited for fall.

I'm jealous of having no laundry. Some days I think it would be easier to throw out the clothes and start from scratch. Hahaha!

Your picture is gorgeous. I love a comfy fire and some knitting or crochet.

Have a wonderful Monday and also a great week.

I loved hearing about your walks through town, how neat it must be to reminisce, also very happy your brother has found work, it is very much a blessing, in a new country and during hard times, I am glad he is able to support his family, must be a relief for him, and finally to be working and settled, the joy of every immigrant. God bless you guys!
