Today....

_MG_9256

First......finishing off a boot cuff and already thinking about the next one.

Second........I am setting aside my crochet for a renewed love of knitting.  I tend to go through phases and while I still consider myself more of a crocheter than a knitter, sometimes I just want to knit and knit and knit and never stop.

Two projects at once, the end of a boot cuff and the beginning of a soft cute scarf for me.

Third......warm comfy slippers that make enjoying a cup of coffee out in the cold Autumn air, that much more priceless.

Fourth.......I'm cold folks, I'm super duper cold and not at all used to this weather anymore.  I'm not complaining though because I'm loving this time of year and the fact that I can wear sweaters and warm boots and hang out in front of a beautiful fire.

_MG_9259

Fifth......Catching my breath as I look out into mountains and take in the golden halo that seems to shine over everything.

_MG_9262

Sixth.......I can't put into words what it feels like to watch the changing of seasons right in my back yard.  To see each leaf turn bright yellow and to watch them fall to the ground as the wind blows.

_MG_9266

Seventh......as the leaves fall to the ground and get blown by the wind, some get stuck on the fence, and there they stay, swaying back and forth between wind bursts as if not wanting to move away from the tree.

_MG_9267

Eighth......Standing under this beautiful tree and marveling in it's beauty.

_MG_9269

Ninth.......breathing in Autumn and capturing it on camera.  Photos that I know will always bring a smile to my face, and hopefully one of yours too.

I hope your day was filled with sunshine and changing seasons and everything that makes this time of year special.

BEAUTIFUL photos, Sandra. Glad you're enjoying all the changes around you. It's still green and Summer here, but our nights are beginning to be a bit cooler. It will all change soon.

Great pictures.

No sunshine here in PA. Not in the last few days. We're having lots of rain and major flooding. Many roads are closed and schools are closing early. It's terrible. The east coast has been suffering terrible weather every October it seems.

Love the knitting, I've picked up my knitting again, it seems to draw me this time of year.
Love your photos and I had to smile about you being cold, it's got to be a huge adjustment for you with the weather being so different than Arizona.

How clever to be able to both crochet and knit! Sounds like you're in need of some cosy woolly things now the weather is colder.Thank heavens for the warmth and comfort of the woodburner!
Your fall/autumn leaf photos are lovely - the yellow leaves are beautiful. Our leaves are just turning here too.
Keep warm, keep knitting Sandra!

Fall usually always has me running for my camera too. I just love it. I can't imagine not cuddling up in warm sweaters and comfy slippers in a hot fall climate.
