Happy Homemaker Monday - November 22

HHM

The weather in my neck of the woods:
Had a little bit of rain yesterday but back to blue skies today.  Temps are nice and cool though so I guess that's something to be happy about.

Things that make me happy:
Hibernating with my family

Book I'm reading:
A Lady Follows by Holly Newman

What's on my TV today:
Not sure, maybe some catching up on DVR'd shows or hopefully Dr Quinn if my Netflix gets here today.

On the menu for dinner:
SOS

On my To Do List:

Fold and put away laundy
Sweep and Mop

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon:
Not a new recipe but something from back home in South africa.  Koeksisters....SO good.

In the craft basket:
A lot of things and nothing in particular

Looking forward to this week:
Thanksgiving with my family

Tips and Tricks:
With the holidays around the corner there's always a ton of food to be prepared.  We are usually alone for Thanksgiving so I don't bother with serving dishes.  Disposable foil trays and baking dishes are the best thing, you can cover with Cling Wrap and pop in the fridge and then just toss them when you're done.  Less clean up.

My favorite blog post this week:
Will have to go do some blog reading this morning, so I will come back and add one.

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers):
Creekside Cottage

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

Lesson learned the past few days:

To stop stressing about things that are out of my control.

On my mind:
My children and their school, I pray that things will change for the better, the school just seems to be doing a nose dive this year and it keeps going from bad to worse.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Matthew 16:13-16
