{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 07/24/2017 }

Good morning, and a very happy Monday to you all :)

I'm running a little behind this morning, usually I like having my post up by now, but I got distracted watching decluttering videos on Youtube, and yeah, an hour later I realized I was to be putting up the HHM post and not just watching videos.  Goodness!!!   Anyone else enjoy watching cleaning and decluttering videos?

Anyway, let's get on with it shall we?

 happyhomemakermonday

The weather:::
It's been pretty hot around here, temperatures have been around 105 to 106.  It's hot but it's nothing out of this world for us who lived in Arizona and 120 degree weather.  Last night, around 10PM, the skies opened up and delivered a huge downpour.  Felt quite nice, actually.  The rest of the week we're staying warm with temperatures again in the triple digits.

Right now I am:::
Sitting on the couch, with the blanket draped over my legs.  I'm feeling a bit cold this morning, which I'm just going to attribute to the cold air conditioner, otherwise it would mean that I'm getting a bit of a cold, and I surely hope not.

On my reading pile:::
My name is Resolute by Nancy E. Turner.  I am almost done with it.  I'm also trying to finish Sweetbriar Cottage, and I still have a few books to read for reviews, including two new ones that came in Saturday.  My reading pile is never ending and I'm quite happy with that.

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend:::
I've been trying to catch up on Game of Thrones, but truthfully I've only made it to episode 3 of Season 2.  The interruptions are constant and we've been quite busy with yard work as well.

On my TV:::
General Hospital
Game of Thrones Season 2
Frontier
ID Discovery Channel

On the menu for this week:::

Monday
Sloppy Joe Casserole (for a review)
Tuesday
Fish Pie and Salad
Wednesday
Perfect Pizza Casserole (for a review)
Thursday
Creamy Oven Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Salad
Friday
Long Boy Burgers and Fries
Saturday
Crockpot Grinders
Sunday
Pulled Pork Baked Potatoes

On my to do list:::
Kitchen......Empty dishwasher, put away dishes from the dish rack and reload washer.  Give the counters a quick wipe down, sweep and mop floor.
Laundry.....Did all the laundry this weekend, so just have to do all the bedding.
House......usual vacuum, dust and tidy up.  Carpet clean both living rooms.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I haven't done Part 9 yet of the Atlanticus, and Part 10 just came out today.  I'm almost done with Part 2 of the Sweet Caroline Pillow, so going to finish the last two rows, and then I can pick up the Atlanticus.

Looking around the house:::
It's pretty clean but I need to give it a bit of a tidy from the weekend.

From the camera:::
Sunrise this morning

What I'm wearing today:::
Still in my nightgown, but I'm about to go and change as I have to head out to the hospital to pick up prescriptions.  I will probably just slip on a comfy dress.

One of my simple pleasures:::
Watching Decluttering and Speed Cleaning videos on Youtube.

Inspirational Quote, Bible verse, anything you want to share:::

LOL! I hear you on getting distracted! Last week I got my post done early and then forgot to link it here until Tuesday!!! Wow! You guys are hotter than we are here, but, from what I understand you don't get the humidity with it...which is great! It's the humidity that really bothers me. Have an awesome Monday and a wonderful week ahead! Blessings! <3

What a beautiful sunrise photo! Understand only too well about getting distracted. I should watch some decluttering and speed cleaning videos and see if it would motivate me. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Oh, I have never been distracted by YouTube videos...or email...or Facebook...NOT! Sometimes I wish we couldn't open so many windows at the same time on our computers!

Your B. Potter quote is at once encouraging and sad. ~smile~

I had my post published early, but I forgot to share it here until Rebecca of Rebecca's Hearth and Home mentioned it to me! Oh well. I'm here now!

Be healed, well and whole in Jesus' Name. God I ask that you will strengthen Sandra's immune system. Since she is NOT getting sick, I thank you God that she has really GOOD A/C!

Your menu sounds good. I haven't done mine this week. It's chemo week, and I don't know what will sound good. My family will probably cook for me.

Be blessed!

p.s. Thanks for hosting. This is actually one of my most popular posts each week. Funny how we like to peek into each others' lives.

You have to get caught up on Game of Thrones. It is the one show that my husband and I sit down and watch together every week. We love it! I stayed up until midnight to get to watch it last night because my kids refused sleep.

Your sunrise picture is so beautiful! I'm quite intrigued by your Sloppy Joe Casserole. I hope you post the recipe if it turns out delicious.

Have a wonderful week Sandra.
