{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 03/09/2020 }

Good morning everyone, hope you've all had a brilliant weekend.  Ours was pretty good, Saturday we ran some errands in the morning and then went over to my brother and sister in law's house, to help with their garden.  It was a nice few hours, just chatting, laughing and pulling weeds etc.

Yesterday was a day of doing absolutely nothing.  The rain came down all day long, so was the perfect time to snuggle under warm blankets, watch random tv shows and just take it easy.

However, here we are, Monday morning and back to the normal routine.

My mammogram ended up being canceled and rescheduled from Friday to the 17th of April.  Goodness.  I was hoping to get it over and done with, but I guess I have to wait another month.

Anyway, let's get going with our Happy Homemaker Monday.

Wishing you all a blessed week ahead.

♥♥The Weather♥♥
It is super dark outside.  The whole daylight savings thing, frustrates me to no end, I miss living in Arizona and never having to worry about it.  Aside from going back to waking up in darkness, it is also very cloudy and rainy.  Looks like we may have a few more rainy days here and there, but the whole week ahead is going to be giving us warm temperatures and even some 80 degree days.

Monday - Mostly sunny and wind, 78
Tuesday - Partly cloudy, 74
Wednesday - Mostly cloudy, 81
Thursday - Mostly cloudy, 85
Friday - Showers, 60
Saturday -  AM showers, 63
Sunday - PM showers, 62

♥♥How I am feeling this morning♥♥
Pretty good, considering that last night I slept really well but kept waking up in between.  It was a strange night Hahahah

♥♥On my mind♥♥
Nothing really in particular.  Just looking forward to a blessed week.

♥♥On the breakfast plate♥♥
Had my coffee early this morning, will probably have Cream of Wheat again later.  I'm currently obsessed with it, and just really enjoying it.  I think it's delicious and filling and perfect for cold rainy days.

♥♥On my reading pile♥♥
Light Changes Everything from Nancy E. Turner.   The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley, for a book review.

♥♥On my tv♥♥
I haven't caught up on Outlander yet, still only managed to watch the first episode and that's it.  Haven't watched any of When Calls the Heart, either.  My tv viewing has been very random, mainly just pop on Youtube vlogs, or documentaries, crime videos etc.

♥♥On the menu this week♥♥

Monday - Bife Acebolado (Steak with onions), fries, salad
Tuesday - Torta de Frango (Chicken Pie), Sauteed Squash
Wednesday - Meat Pastries (still haven't made them), Butter Rice with Peas
Thursday -  Bacon Spaghetti, Steamed Broccoli, Garlic Cheesy Bread
Friday -  Bifanas (Pork Tenderloin Sandwiches), Mashed Potatoes
Saturday - Smoked Sausage and Potatoes
Sunday - Breaded Meatballs, Garlic and Butter Spaghetti noodles, sauteed zucchini

♥♥From the camera♥♥
Spring signs, make me so happy.

♥♥Looking around the house♥♥
It is currently very dark, I'm sat on my bed working on this post and it may as well be middle of the night, with how dark it is.
I need to give my living room carpets a good clean.  If it were up to me, I would pull all the carpets and go with bare floor, but my husband is not having it.  I have just always found that when we lived in previous houses, with either tile or wood floor, it was much easier to keep it clean.

♥♥Chore I'm not looking forward to today, or this week♥♥
Carpet cleaning.  It's just one of those chores that takes a very long time, and needs to be done on a day where the sun is shining and it's warm, otherwise the carpets won't dry.

♥♥To relax this week, I will♥♥
Read, read and read.

♥♥On my prayer list♥♥
* The President, our country.
* A friend of ours passed away in a motorcycle accident yesterday.  Praying for his wife Paula and their children, through this difficult moment.
* My mother in law Pat and father in law Ken, as they deal with their health.
* Our friend Stacey, she is slowly starting to come around, but having to depend on rehab.
* Everyone affected by the Coronavirus.  I think the media are causing a bigger panic than is needed, obviously it is something we need to take precautions for, but there is no need for mass hysteria.  There are countries even dealing with a shortage of toilet paper.  Come on people.

♥♥Devotional/Bible Verse♥♥
"Yea, he is altogether lovely."
Song of Solomon 5:16

The superlative beauty of Jesus is all-attracting; it is not so much to be admired as to be loved. He is more than pleasant and fair, he is lovely. Surely the people of God can fully justify the use of this golden word, for he is the object of their warmest love, a love founded on the intrinsic excellence of his person, the complete perfection of his charms. Look, O disciples of Jesus, to your Master's lips, and say, "Are they not most sweet?"

Do not his words cause your hearts to burn within you as he talks with you by the way? Ye worshippers of Immanuel, look up to his head of much fine gold, and tell me, are not his thoughts precious unto you? Is not your adoration sweetened with affection as ye humbly bow before that countenance which is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars? Is there not a charm in his every feature, and is not his whole person fragrant with such a savour of his good ointments, that therefore the virgins love him? Is there one member of his glorious body which is not attractive?--one portion of his person which is not a fresh lodestone to our souls?--one office which is not a strong cord to bind your heart? Our love is not as a seal set upon his heart of love alone; it is fastened upon his arm of power also; nor is there a single part of him upon which it does not fix itself.

We anoint his whole person with the sweet spikenard of our fervent love. His whole life we would imitate; his whole character we would transcribe. In all other beings we see some lack, in him there is all perfection. The best even of his favoured saints have had blots upon their garments and wrinkles upon their brows; he is nothing but loveliness.

All earthly suns have their spots: the fair world itself hath its wilderness; we cannot love the whole of the most lovely thing; but Christ Jesus is gold without alloy-light without darkness--glory without cloud--"Yea, he is altogether lovely."

I agree the media are making it worst with the coronavirus epidemic... it's more contagious but less dangerous than influenza.
Thinking of your friend's family.
Signs of spring! wow lucky you... it's snowing here today.
Have a great week

I so agree about the time change - it just throws off ALL my timing! I also agree that this terrible panic over the coronavirus is MEDIA driven! The Media is our worst enemy in almost every situation. So sorry to hear about your friend's motorcycle accident and the pain the family is going through. I will keep them in my prayers. Have a Blessed week.

Happy Monday to you beautiful Lady. Sending you sunny ☀️ 😎 thoughts to help you wake up! Lol And to dry up the rain. Prayers for your friend and family - what a tragic way to lose their spouse/father. Have a blessed week ahead. xo

I do enjoy Happy Homemaking Monday and the insight into how others manage their homes. Even though we do not have daylight savings here in Arizona, it does make communicating with our family and freinds in the east a bit more complicated being 3 hrs ahead of us. I so agree with you about the Corona Virus! I have begun to pray for those on yours and other HHM prayer lists as I read them. Have a blessed week.

I am running a day late, but I managed to get my post written and now I am catching up on reading. I hope to have a few minutes each day to read and I like the way you plan to relax.
