Happy Homemaker Monday - 03/11/20137:16 AM
Good Morning all :)
It's a beautiful morning here in Arizona, the sun is just rising, the sky is a beautiful orange and I have my Hazelnut coffee next to me.
I have had a very busy weekend, didn't have much time at all to do anything computer related, and didn't even grab my camera from it's bag, so no pictures the past two days. Will have to remedy that today ;) On to today's Happy Homemaker Monday.....
Our hot weather is here, and it will be warming up even more this week. Much as I dislike the triple digits of our summer, I do have to say that I've missed the warmth.
Right now I am:
Sitting on my comfy couch, wearing my pj's and writing up this post.
That I have SO much to do today, not only inside the house but outside as well. Thinking that Spring is here and I am loving all the flowers starting to bloom.
On my reading pile:::
Aside from the Bible....nothing. I go through phases where I don't read anything for a month or two and then devour everything in sight for months on end. Guess I'm going through "no reading phase".
On my tv:::
Mr Selfridge (have to catch up)
Portuguese Soaps - Tempo de Viver, Doida por Ti, Destinos Cruzados, Louco Amor
Call the Midwife (have to catch up)
Ripper Street (need to catch up)
The Bible (family and I will watch the second episode tonight)
Favorite Blog post this week (mine or other):::
I am in love with this Norwegian blog. Beautiful photos. Can't pick just one post.
Something fun to share:::
I love astronomy and astro-photography. This Tumblr is from Alan Friedman, he is not a professional, just a backyard photographer who using his telescope has captured some of the best photos of our sun, our planets and our moon.
On the menu for this week:::
Will be grocery shopping on Friday, haven't yet figured out the new Menu, so Saturday and Sunday are empty for now.
Monday - Chicken Pot Pie with Peppery Biscuit Topping
Tuesday - Stuffed Peppers
Wednesday - Kentucky Grilled Chicken, Potato Salad
Thursday - Grilled Steak and Ceasar Salad
Friday - Beer Brats with Sauerkraut
On my to do list:::
Laundry (this item will remain on this list indefinitely lol)
We're on Spring Break so no school this week
Change Bed Linens
Order Nicholas' new bed
Moved a bookshelf out of my bedroom and into the living room for hubby's college books, now I have to move a different smaller shelf back into the bedroom for my stuff.
Yard work in the front
Transplant some seedlings into the veggie garden in the back
Take down the homeschooling desk (we're almost done for this year and we've been using the dining table lately)
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Have a new blanket started, but have really not touched it much. Matter of fact, haven't done any crochet this past week because I've been so very busy.
Painting our bedside tables black
Starting my next red, white and blue quilt.
Keep a container of disinfectant wipes in the bathroom. At least once a day, when you go in there, wipe down the sink and the toilet seat etc. It helps make the bathroom cleaning less arduous.
Looking around the house:::
Have the homeschool desk pushed up against the wall right now, waiting to be taken apart today.
Have to figure out a new spot for the dog food and bed. My living room needs a little picking up, but once these things are both taken care of it will look much better.
There are dishes in the sink that didn't fit in the washer last night, so I have to wash those.
A basket of clean laundry is on my kitchen table, waiting to be folded.
From the camera:::
On my prayer list:::
My husband as he gets ready to test for Master Sergeant. If he makes it, we will be staying in another 2 years, if he doesn't, we will be headed back to Idaho in May. Praying and putting it all in the Lord's Hand....He knows what is best for us and what our next move is, even if we don't.
Bible verse, Devotional:::
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
