And so the stress begins......

It's starting people, time is starting to zip by and I'm realizing that there is a lot to do and not enough hours in the day.

We finally got our official orders on friday of last week which really doesn't leave much time for us to get new housing at the new base and arrange for the movers, coordinate TLF (Temporary Living Facility) at both bases, find a school for Jasmine, pick up medical and dental and school records etc etc etc.

It's exciting to be going to a new place but it's just the actual GETTING there that's frustrating.

Have I told you before how I hate driving long distance??? I'm not looking forward to being in the car with the two kids for days LOL

I don't know how long I'll be out of internet once we leave here and get there etc, so I'll probably be asking for some of you to be guest bloggers and I really do hope you will take me up on this offer, I'm sure whatever you blog about will be ten times more interesting than my usual long rambles about everything and nothing at all.

This coming weekend we're having a yard sale, it's time to start getting rid of things because quite frankly there's stuff that does NOT need to be going to a new house, it shouldn't even have been at THIS house but since we weren't planning on moving anywhere soon we weren't too worried about getting rid of it.
Nothing like a move to make a huge purge of your stuff.

So while I'm plowing through all the zillion of things to get done, I'm going to tell you about my next book contest.

The post is just below and it will run through this week so check out the details.

I wish I could chat for longer but I really need to get cracking on a lot of things, have a blessed day :)

  1. Aren't military moves just a ball of fun?!? Jeez Sandra, I'm feeling for ya for sure. Make a list and check items off as you go, that always helps me. Oh- as far as the yard sale goes... Way to go!! I have a double garage that has "stuff" that needs to be gone, but no motivation to do it!

  2. We have alot in common right now gal. I'm taking a break from packing right now. We are pricing storage units and moving in with my parents...luckily they have a 4000 sq foot home and they are excited about setting up guest quarters for us now. My dad has told everyone his "kids" are moving home....we keep saying it's temporary.......keep me posted...maybe we can keep each other going...LOL!

  3. Hi Sandra, sounds hectic in your little corner of the world. Hope it all goes smooth.

  4. What a busy time you have ahead of you! I hope that everything goes smoothly for you and your family. :)

  5. I so feel your pain! We just moved from Virginia to Hawaii and I can not tell you how I wish we would of gotten rid of more stuff than we did. I thought we would be ok but once we got here and our stuff came 5 weeks later, I unpacked and again had too purge our belongings so it would all fit into this house!!!!

Have fun and remember to breathe!

  6. Good luck with your yard sale and everything else, Sandra!

  7. try not to stress; everything will come together!

  8. Hi Sandra,
I can feel for you . I wouldn't not enjoy a long drive either. I will miss you while you are off offline.
Don't forget to give me your nre address. i am saving some books for you.

  9. Sounds hectic, but I'm sure you'll get through it just fine. Moving is such a pain, though.

  10. You are going to do fantastic - just look how organized you are! I wish I could be more like you are with all the details. Remember to have fun, and take lots of pictures for your kids to remember their home by!

  11. Praying for you at this time Sandra! Moving can be very overwhelming. Just remember that God cares about every little detail of your life. Praying it all goes smooth and you get done everything that you need to get done!

  12. Sandra:
I know what you're talking about. My Goodness, I tried not to take things that we don't use and don't need and I did it but other people took EVERYTHING, and now it's worse to put in order but....what can I do?I used to say that the day should has 48 hours, ehehehe, but take it easy, do a little every day, don't get in panic, pray to God to give you serenity and everything will be alright.I know that in my case was just a road down but a house of almost 20 wasn't easy, believe me.So all the best and I'll be keeping in pray for you all.

  13. You will do great!! I know how hard moving is, especially to another state with kids, but you are organized and you always amaze me with how much you manage to get done in a day, so I think it will go smoothly for you. Good luck with the yard sale!!
