Hello my sweeties, how are you doing today???
I do hope that this post finds you all well, and that your Thursday went by beautifully. Mine was very quiet and uneventful, which is a wonderful thing because I would take quiet days of nothing, over days of drama and worries.
I have this amazing cup of tea sitting next to me and I'm waiting for it to cool down slightly, just enough for me to be able to grab a sip without burning off the skin on my lips, or scalding the roof of my mouth.
I remember my greatgrandma, she would have very strong scalding hot tea, and she would sit for hours with this cup in front of her, just taking tiny little sips at a time. With every sip she would say "ooooohhhh that's hot", and she would draw the air between her teeth, making that sound we all do when something burns. LOL
I miss her, so very much.
Speaking of tea, I have to show you this mug that my mother in law got for Jasmine's birthday. She knows how much she loves tea, so this was a great gift for my girl.
I am thinking I may need one for myself. Goodness, it's adorable.
The housework was done, the laundry was finished, and by that I mean that it was all put away until tomorrow when I walk by the laundry basket and find another one or two loads ready to start again. Will it EVER end???
It's been nice and warm here, not too bad this week as the temperatures have dipped down to the 80's, so it's been a good time for watering the yard and watching the birds all come to enjoy the sprinkler.
I do enjoy watching them, they make me laugh, and they make me forget about my worries and stress, which I have to tell you is quite at an high right now.
See I like being in control and I like knowing what is coming, so I'm feeling more and more like a fish out of water.
I try very hard to keep it under control, but there have been a few moments where I felt like I was just going to burst into tears, and I don't like feeling that way at all.
But I'm ok, I'm doing fine and I'll get through it :)
I'm still cooking up recipes from the archives, and we've all been enjoying those.
I'm dreadfully behind on my tv shows because I'm still inhaling Fringe Hahaha
But I have a wonderful show to tell you about tomorrow and I think it's one NOT to miss, so you'll have to keep an eye out for that post in the morning.
Right now I really must get off here and go put my eye drops in, my dry eyes are bothering me so bad lately, it's to the point where I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and it hurts to open my eyes, feels like they are filled with sand. *sigh*
Anyway, the cup of tea is now at what I call the "drinkable" stage, so I'm going to enjoy a big cuppa and a lemon/sugar cane cookie.
Blessings,

love the mug also, so pretty..
drinking tea right now..getting ready to sit in my chair and work on a baby hat...
have a lovely evening Sandra..
I <3 peixinhos da horta! So do my kids, they eat more green beans this way than any other...sorry about your eyes Sandra, is that seasonal or stress related? You poor girl!
You know, whatever happens, it will all work out for the good, Sandra. I know that is hard to believe at times, but you and your family will be just fine. Breathe and be, as a very dear friend keeps telling me.
Oh a totally different note - for the milk tarts - do you mix in an order or just tip the lot in the bowl and beat together? By hand? By machine? I am having one of those moments where I just can't work out anything for myself. In any order!
What a great cup for brewing tea. Where was it purchased?
I do hope things will sort out for you soon so that you won't feel like bursting into tears so much.
God is your strength Sandra. He is your Shepherd, think of yourself as being gently and tenderly carried in his arms and let yourself go into that loving care.
Love and hugs to you ~ FlowerLady
That guacamole looks delish. I love guacamole. Glad to hear your life is a bit more calm right now. I've had one of those crazy, stressful weeks so I'm really quite glad that it's Friday! :)
I've enjoyed watching birds here this week too!
Your Italian Sausage/Potatoes/Peppers recipe looks delicious. Will have to give that one a try.
Have a great weekend, Sandra! Happy Mother's Day!

I hate not knowing what's coming too.
I love the bird picture where the bird is all fluffy!
Visiting via Linds' recommendation today. What a beautiful blog you have filled with gorgeous photography. It's better than sitting down with a favorite magazine. (I have that dry eye thing and it always scares me when it hurts to open the eye. Ackkk...)
I always joke that I love the moment, that lasts all of 30 seconds, when all the laundry is done!
Hang in there--bird watching is therapeutic! I hope things get less stressful for you soon.
Thanks to Linds, I heard that you were blogging again so I was happy to catch up today. Looking forward to visiting regularly again :)
The unknown is hard for me too. But I always bring myself to that scripture in Isaiah that says I am written in the palm of His hand. Know Sandra, that you and your family are in God's hand and He will take care of you and has a plan for for you even if you don't yet know it!
