Happy Monday friends, how was your weekend?
Mine was rainy and cold and quite dreary, I guess Winter has finally arrived here in North Texas.
Well I was sitting here working on my crochet blanket for a bit and looked at the time and thought, Oh my word I haven't posted the Happy Homemaker Monday nor the Blogmas post for today. So I set the blanket aside and am getting this done real quick before I completely forget. My old brain is slowing down hahaha
As I look outside my window:::
We have quite a lot of fog this morning. I always find that foggy mornings look so gorgeous.
Right now I am:::
In the living room, as always. I went to get dressed for the day but it's so cold, and we're all getting sick so I threw on my Minnie Mouse pj pants and a long sleeved black top, put on some comfy warm fuzzy socks and that's my outfit of the day. I honestly couldn't be bothered, especially since I don't have to go anywhere. Anyway, as I was saying, I am sitting here typing this post before I have to get some housework done.
Thinking and pondering:::
About December and Christmas coming up. It's going to be a jam packed month, I have a lot of things going on, lots of commitments, places to be, things to do and I'm just hoping that I get everything done in time.
On my bedside table:::
Vicks, Kleenex, TV remote and my Bible and devotionals.
On my tv:::
General Hospital
Dr. Phil
Vlogs
I recorded Candace Cameron Bure's new holiday movie yesterday, so hoping to watch it today.
Playing on the radio:::
Nothing at the moment, it is silent in the house. Kids are still sleeping and puppy is napping on the couch next to me. There is nothing around, just pure silence and it feels so good.
On the menu for this week:::
I need to work on my next menu plan, which will include Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, though we celebrate on the Eve and Christmas Day is usually leftovers of whatever we have the night before.
I'm grocery shopping on Saturday morning. As you can see from the menu plan below, I have some days planned, and some still empty because I need to see what is in my fridge and work with that.
Monday - Turkey Pot Pie, Salad (Didn't get a chance to make it yet)
Tuesday - Roast Pork Tenderloin, Mashed Potatoes
Wednesday - In and Out Burgers, Fries
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday - Homemade Pizzas (Margherita for me, Pepperoni for hubby, Cheese for the kids)
Sunday -
On my to do list:::
Put away the clean laundry that is sitting on my couch (It's clean, it's folded, what more do you want from me?) lol
Vacuum both living rooms. Marley loves bark and sticks and he's been having a field day with our fire wood, which makes him happy but me very unhappy because the carpets are trashed.
Clean kitchen
Homeschooling
What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
I've now moved on to Part 12 of the blanket, and oh my goodness, it is looking so beautiful. I am so proud of this project, over my many years of crochet, and the tons of blankets and projects I've made, this is the one I'm most proud of.
My simple pleasure:::
Preparing for the holidays. Lists, menu plans, planning what I'm making and when, gift buying, wrapping and the whole craziness that leads up to the big day.
Lesson learned the past week:::
That unfortunately some people are so caught up with their own issues and their politics that they forget that FAMILY is what matters the most. If you feel the need to unfollow, hide, be rude or not show up to family gatherings because of an election.....there is something seriously wrong.
I don't get it, I never will and I won't even try to understand it.
Looking around the house:::
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
From the camera:::
Marley is scared of this snowman, because it plays music. It's quite funny when he forgets about it and starts trying to bite it only to set it off. hahaha
Bible verse, Devotional:::

Hello everyone, welcome to the 3rd day of Blogmas. It's been so much fun so far.
It's a cold and rainy day here in North Texas, and I had to run some quick errands this morning, that's why this post is only going up now, sorry about that.
Well today's prompt is all about what is on our wishlist, so I'm quite excited to show you mine and see what you all are wishing for.

So here is my wishlist, now keep in mind that some of these I can't exactly get because they're from overseas stores. But nonetheless they're on my list, because it IS after all, a wish list right?
CATH KIDSTON
This handbag that I am SO IN LOVE WITH.
These pajamas are screaming my name. I need them. A couple years back, Curt bought me some Cath Kidston pajamas for my birthday. I've worn them so much that they are literally falling apart, so I need new ones.
I need a new tablecloth and this one is so beautiful.
PRIMARK
I absolutely love Primark, unfortunately there are only 3 stores in the USA and all are on the East coast, which sucks for us folks all the way on the other side.
Love this top, it looks comfy and big and baggy and I really like it.
This romper is adorable.
Oh my word, how gorgeous are these?
Need new cookware, mine is all getting very old. I have the Paula Deen one at the moment and I absolutely love it.
I've wanted a heated throw for a long time and every time I see one, whether at Walmart or Kohl's or Bed Bath and Beyond, I'm always drooling over them. Would love one.
I need new make up brushes. Honestly I don't have many, I have an eye shadow brush and one for my bronzer and that is is, but I would really love to have a full set. Not that I'm a huge professional make up person, I just get by hahaha But it would be fun.
I absolutely LOVE Dionis Goats milk lotion. I first bought it at our local Cracker Barrel back in Arizona, and it's been a few years since I've had one. It's definitely on my list this year. This is the Blue Ridge Wildflowers and it smells amazing.
Speaking of Cracker Barrel, I would love one of their Quilt sets for my bed. I've been eyeing those out for so many years.
Finally on the wishlist, this cookbook, would love to have it.
So what is on YOUR wishlist, anything you've wanted for a long time, just essential items, or don't you really have a list this year?

Good morning everyone, it is absolutely freezing here today. I'm on the couch, with my puppy asleep on my lap and wishing I had a fresh cup of coffee to enjoy.
Actually......I'll be right back, I think I need a refill for sure, my hands are ice cold.
Annddddd I'm back, with a hot Pumpkin Spice coffee. Yum!!!

Alright now, today's prompt is pretty simple, I want to know what Christmas movies are on your must watch list. Those movies that you have to watch every year, without fail, or those that best represent the season for you.
Here's my list:
Now that's not to say those are the only ones I watch, I've been known to be a follower of Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies and will basically watch anything that comes on. Those are my faves though and I have to watch them every year.
What's on your Christmas list to watch?

BLOGMAS 2016 - Day 1 { The Christmas Tag }
Happy December everyone!!!!
Oh my word, it is December, my favorite month of the year. I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner, I haven't yet shopped for anything and I've just started getting my decorations out. I guess I'm not as on the ball as many others are out there, but I'm also not as behind as I was last year. I think I only really got started decorating about 2 weeks before Christmas. Horrible!!!
Anyway, it's December which means BLOGMAS. I'm so excited.
If you don't know what Blogmas is, it's a cross between blogging and Christmas, in which you promise to post every single day, whether on a specific topic or just in general.
I didn't do Blogmas last year, there was just too much going on, but I did it the year before, and you can check out those posts here.
So anyway, you ladies ready to jump in and join me this year???
I'm going to put up a list of topics, from day 1 to day 25. I honestly just jotted down whatever I felt was significant or relating to Christmas, so I hope you all enjoy them just as much, and I hope to see a lot of participants. AND I do promise I'll come by and visit you each day, going to make it a priority to do so.
Below you will find the list of topics in order. Please don't feel you have to do exactly the same that I am doing, you can change it up if you want, or you can simply just post whatever you want for that day without it having to follow a specific list. Just remember to add your name to the linky below so that I and others can come and see you :)

Day 1 - The Christmas Tag
✨Whats Your Favourite Holiday Movie?
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. I have to watch it every single year and it never gets old. Funniest, cutest movie ever. Just love it :)
✨Whats Your Favourite Christmas Colour?
Red, absolutely red.
✨Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?
I always dress up, mainly because we have guests every year and I don't like walking around in pjs. That and the fact that I'm usually the first up and cooking breakfast etc.
✨If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be?
This is a hard one. I love buying presents for everyone. I would have to say my husband though, because he works so hard all year round to provide for us and allow me to stay at home and take care of the kids and everything else. He deserves to be spoiled, for sure.
✨Do You Open Your Present Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?
Christmas Eve. Always have and always will. Though we do save the Santa presents for Christmas morning.
✨ What Do You Like To Do On Your Christmas Break?
What's that? lol As a stay at home mom, and mom and wife in general, I don't ever get a break, so not really sure how to answer this one. I guess I do like taking a day here or there where I do minimal housework and try to relax as much as possible. Watch movies, or catch up on shows, do some crochet, read a book and drink coffee or tea.
✨Any Christmas Wishes?
For health for everyone in my family, and currently, for this country to pull together and stop being so divisive.
✨Favorite Christmas Smell?
Pine tree. One of the reasons I always get real trees for Christmas, there is nothing like the smell of the pine needles in the house.
✨Favourite Christmas Meal Or Treat?
All our Portuguese goodies we have on Christmas Eve.
✨What are you doing for the holidays this year?
Staying home and having family visit.
✨What’s your favourite holiday drink?
Eggnog. LOVE IT.
✨Candy cane or Gingerbread men?
Ooohhhh I like both, but I would probably go with the gingerbread men.
✨What’s your favourite holiday/Christmas song?
White Christmas
✨What is most important to you about the holidays?
Being with family and remembering the real reason for the season. I don't like to make it too commercialized, I prefer to keep it simple and keep it to the basics :)
If you're joining in, don't forget to add your name below so we can come by and say hi.
