Seriously, if you're missing a kitchen knife

I believe it may be stuck in my throat, you can come by at any time to remove it, please, actually I will PAY you to remove it. *sigh*
(btw, remind me to NEVER do a search online for sore throat again, the images that came up had me gagging)

So remember I told you Curt was sick, he pretty much started getting a sore throat on the airplane back home and then when he got here I distinctly told him I was not interested in his cold, but alas, he's such a wonderful hubby that he shares everything with me LOL

Actually the kids got it first and then passed it on, and I'm pretty much the last link on the chain, unless I pass it to the pugs, but that won't work, so I'm stuck with it for as long as it wants me, which hopefully is not long, maybe I can act as boring as possible and make it RUN for the next victim???

The past 2 days have been absolute hell, I have a house that is screaming for attention, I still have a bag from the trip that needs to be unpacked, and if you know me and have been reading my blog for a while, you KNOW how anal I get with cleaning and organizing, so it's taking everything out of me to walk by this luggage and not tear into it like a crazed animal.

The problem is that Nicholas and I have had NO sleep the past 2 nights, he's had really high fevers and gets delirious and then because he doesn't feel well he wants to sleep with mommy, it wouldn't be so bad but the getting kicked in the stomach and bonked on the head is really getting old. He gets so hot that I actually move away from him and the more I scoot further away on the bed, the closer he gets to me, it's sort of a tag on the bed thing going on all night long.

I'm exhausted, my throat is killing me, I'm congested and I just realized last night that I'll be out of this house in 3 weeks, nothing like that realization to knock you on your tushie.

Now I'm sitting here with my coffee and a full pot in the kitchen, I WILL visit all of you this morning, I certainly enough have enough caffeine to get me through it....hope there's interesting posts out there, I need something funny or thought provoking and since I won't find any of that on my own blog, I search through yours LOL

You know what I just realized, I had a comment from my sweet brother in law Chris, he's such a sweetheart....Love ya Chris, thanks for dropping by.

Alright so let me see, what has been going on here, other than us all being sick, my Durango needs new tires before we leave for Arizona. I was driving it the other day and Curt brought to my attention that my front right tire had this white line going down it, when we went to inspect it turns out it's the actual metal/whatever from the inside showing through, but only on THAT one. HUH?!?!?! So yeah, I need new tires!

We have packing left to do, we've decided to do a partial DITY move which means we move some of the stuff and get paid for it. Hey, anything that gives me some extra cash is worth it and since we're not moving that far from this state, it's totally doable.

I've been trying to update my food blog and I have so many recipes to add, but, if you haven't been by there in a while, I'm sure you'll find some new ones you might want to try.

I guess I should get a move on even though I would like nothing more than to just sit here and chat all day. My to do list is not that big for today, I just wish my body would cooperate but feeling sick just makes me want to cuddle in bed with a good book or movie.....again, where are those little elves to help when you need them???

Have a great saturday everyone, God Bless,

  1. I pray that you feel better soon!

  2. Oh Sandra, I am sorry you're sick again!! I remember what a hard winter/ early spring you had. I'll pray that you get better, too. I know how you feel with the sleep deprivation thing, I haven't had a full night's sleep since prob. Christmas (uncomfortable late pregancy & now baby, who still wakes every 3 hours.) It's hard to go around feeling like a zombie and/ or sick, and then with unpacking from the trip & packing for the move... I know you'll get through it, though!!! :-)

  3. Sandra,I'm sorry you are unwell....hope by now your throat is better..

1 Peter 5:7 is one of our favorite verses and has seen us through many trying times....He does care for His children...

Thanks for visiting with me and taking the time to comment...Betty

  4. That's a bummer getting sick while trying to pack. I hope it clears up soon!!

  5. I really hope you feel better soon. Don't let that unpacked bag get to you :) Focus on getting better. We do partial DITY moves too because we find that we always need things when we get to our destination. Get well soon--all of you!

  6. Sandra, I'm so sorry to hear your family has been sick. Sore throats are so miserable. I will say a prayer that everyone at your house feels better soon!

  7. Oh Sandra, I hope you feel better too! I'm not well and our Pastor's wife thinks I may have shingles. Doh! And my house is a mess and I'm exhausted. But hey-ho on with the show.

    Hugs n' love.

  8. oh man, i hope you all feel better soon...
    have a blessed day..

  9. Sandra,

Hope your feeling better soon! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

  10. No fun, Sandra, getting sick again! And I so know what you mean about the bed tag. Been there done that with a sick little one.

  11. Hi Sandra:
I'm very sorry about you but PLEASE, relax, pray,do what you can do and wait for God's results, put the worries in God's list not on your list, ok?
For hard throat pains, put honey with cinnamon in a tablespoon and take it several times a day and you'll feel better, I tried that because as you know I sing in the church and I felt a big relief, believe me.
I hope you feel better as well as Nicholas and God bless you all.

  12. Oh Sandra, I do hope that you and Nicholas get to feeling better. It's no fun to be sick and to have a sick little one at the same time.

I've been "gone" from the blog world recently, but hopefully, I'm back. lol I get so busy and then I get in a rut about blogging. lol I've missed reading my favorite blog (yours).

The pics of your MIL's wedding are nice. I love the ones that are B/W with alittle color. The kids are adorable!

I can hardly believe that the time for ya'll to move is incredibly close. I really have been out of touch for a while. Oh, I did get u'r email/comment about the book. I'm on the lookout for it, but if you haven't sent it yet don't worry. I know you've been very busy.

I did post a new blog last night (the last one I posted was from the Sunday before).

    I'll be praying for you.
