Slow Cooking Thursday!

[sctbutton.jpg]

All my slow cooking recipes are now online and starting today, I will add all the recipes shared weekly to my online del.icio.us site too. So if you're wanting to find ALL the slow cooked recipes that have been shared since the first SLOW COOKING THURSDAY, here is the link for you.

Don't forget to add your name to Mr Linky and a link back to your SCT post so others can come by and see your recipe too.

As always, share your slow cooking recipes but if you REALLY REALLY don't have one and still want to participate, then you can share any kind of recipe.

Stuffed Pasta Shells

From the Kitchen of: Mona

This is a family favorite.

    18 jumbo pasta shells
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1
    onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 c. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
    ½ c. seasoned bread crumbs
    1 tbsp. parsley flakes
    1
    egg, beaten
2 jars meatless spaghetti sauce (15½ oz. each)
    ½ c. grated Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta shells according to directions, just until tender and drain. Meanwhile, brown beef, onion and garlic on stove top, drain. Add Mozzarella, bread crumbs, parsley and egg. Stuff shells, set aside. Pour 1 jar of sauce into crock pot. Arrange stuffed shells in sauce. Top with other jar of sauce and Parmesan cheese. Cover and cook on low 5 to 7 hours.

NOTE: Mr Linky is not working, so I am not able to put it up...if you are sharing a recipe, leave the link in the comments and I will manually add them to the post :)

Yum, that looks good. Do they come out better in the crock pot than baked in the oven? I would think they wouldn't get dried out like the ones on the edge of the pan sometimes do (at least for me!). My kids hate that - I think I'm going to have to try this!

I never thought about doing something like shells in the crock pot - sounds yummy.

Mine is for Italian Chicken or Chicken and linguine - one of my very most favorite recipes ever! http://www.3sidesofcrazy.com/2009/01/slow-cooking-thursday-linguini-chicken.html

I had to re-do the header in the html to make my mr linky work right even though it was correct - they seem to be having issues. Yours is the 3rd site this morning I've encountered besides my own.
