{ 31 Days of Prayer for my Husband } - Day 1

I feel that behind every wonderful blogging woman I have come to know, there is an amazing man, they are the ones working in the background. The ones providing for our families, fixing what is broken around the house, giving us a hug when we're down, listening to our bad days, putting up with the constant flashing of cameras in their eyes (admit it, you tote that camera around just as much as I do LOL).
So I think they need to be recognized and admired and acknowledged for the wonderful husbands they are and what better way to do that, than to devote a whole month of prayer to them. Will you join me?
Embark with me on a journey for the next 31 Days, in which we devote ourselves to prayer for our husbands.

Everyday I will put up a prayer and a Mr Linky. Now, you don't need to go to your blogs and do your own post, you can if you want to but it's not required. But I would like you to sign your name on Mr Linky if you do say the prayer for that day, just so that we can see how many wonderful women are praying for their husbands.

Day 1

Pray that your husband will grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord. Pray that he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines—Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, etc. (2 Peter 3:18; Prov. 4:23)

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
Prov. 4:23
Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.

Hi Sandra
This is a great idea. I had a ? about the crocheted hearts u are working on. I, for the life of me, can not figure out how to make them. Do u always start at the bottom and work up and then do you go around the whole heart? I love to crochet, but can only do blankets and scarves. I think the heart idea is so cute.

What a great idea & reminder! I have felt on my heart that I should be praying more for my husband and what a neat way to be accountable to do so.

Hey, Sandra I think this is an awesome idea :) There are 28days in February though.. wasnt sure if you were just doing the month of Feb or just 31 days in general. Either way, it's nice to see other women out there praying for and supporting their husbands!

I would put my name down, but there are a few problems with that. First off, I don't have a husband. Second, I don't relate to what you are talking about probably because I really wouldn't know. But I will pray for all the husbands in the world anyway. Good luck in the Super Bowl!=)

I really need to pray for my hubby right now. I could find a Mr Linky but I'll be praying along.

Hugs.

This is great that you are doing this. One of my friends is starting a new bible study group this week and it is based on Stormy Omartian's book The Power of A Praying Wife. I'll be praying along with you. :-)

Thanks so much for starting this prayer journey. I wasn't sure if I am to post your prayers or use my own so I just borrowed yours today. Hope you don't mind. I hope others definitely get on the bandwagon for this and kudos to you for making it so easy. Thanks!

I too have felt the burden lately to pray more for my Husband. I appreciate your sharing with us this wonderful idea. Pls count me in, although I'm not sure how it works. You just read the Scriptures for the day and pray on them?

PS I also wanted to ask if you could share how you do the picture of your babies with the scripture on the sidebar. I'd like to do that with my Grandson's picture also.

I did this for my hubby last year. He kept all my little notes. It really touched him that I would do this.

Bless you,

I love this idea, and have posted about it. I join the rest of you with eager joy. I tried to hook up with Mr linky but for some reason it didn't work.

I wonder if you saw a change in your husband or if your heart was changed by your prayers to change your view :)
