The Simple Woman's Daybook - Sept. 1

Hi everyone, come on in and see what's in my daybook!

If you want to join in, just got visit Peggy over at The Simple Woman, read the guidelines here and then add your name to Mr Linky. There are so many other participants sharing their day, I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through them :)

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window
...cloudy skies and wind

I am thinking...that I can't believe my computer gave me the blue screen of death again, I'm sick and tired of fixing it.

I am thankful for...the fact that even though the computer messed up, I am blessed to HAVE a computer of my own.

From the kitchen...for breakfast we had bacon, maple sausages, biscuits and gravy. For dinner it's Corned Beef Hash

I am wearing... blue lounger dress

I am reading...Beyond the Highland Mist by Karen Marie Moning

I am hoping...that I get more of my Advent Calendar pockets done today

I am hearing... The dishwasher buzzing in the background, Curtis typing on the computer, the kids cleaning their rooms

Around the house... the scent of Vanilla Honey candles, pugs laying on the couches napping, laundry waiting to be put away

One of my favorite things...sleeping to the sound of rain

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week... Meet the Teacher nights for Jasmine and Nicholas

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Hi Sandra,
Vanilla honey candles...mmmm, I bet they smell good! What kind are they? I have been burning a gardenia votive from Seda France...it's good, but pretty strong so a little goes a long way!
Have a blessed day!

Kelly, I actually picked these up at Walmart, they're from this brand called FarmStand and they come in the cutest little containers. They smell SO SO good.

I have been having trouble w/ my laptop too. My wallpaper has disappeared among other things. My husband is going to purchase a virus software program called TrendMicro, which is supposed to be the best, and install it this week. Good luck w/ your computer. Thanks for stopping by my blog too.

Enjoyed your blog, and loved the pictures. I live in a lovely English country cottage ( in the lovely English weather) and if you are visiting UK sometime it would be good to see you.

Vanilla candles sound good to me on a grey rainy London day. My Mac started to misbehave last week - almost unheard of but I also reminded myself that I'm lucky to have a computer all for me! :)

Hi Sandra,

Thank you for visiting my blog. By the time I got home from work last night, I was exhausted! No computer time for me...I pretty much went straight to bed!

I really enjoyed your recipe photos. I LOVE to cook and try new recipes. I must try the pumpkin pancakes! Thanks for sharing your day and looking forward to hearing more. :-)

Hi Sandra! I'm getting caught up on all the Daybooks from yesterday. :) I'm glad someone else asked about the Vanilla Honey candles---they sound so cozy and homey; I think I'll see if they have them at my local Wally's next time I'm there!

I'm sure glad it's lunchtime. Looking at all the food pictures on your sidebar is making me hungry!

Have a terrific week!

And how awesome that you like "The Secret Garden." I have the exact same CD!
