Happy Valentine's Day and 31 Days of Prayer for my Husband - Day 14

This is certainly a different Valentine's Day for us, we drifted from the usual habit of doing nothing for this day, and decided to get something little. Flowers, Godiva Chocolates and Teddy Bears later, we all smiled and realized that maybe this Valentine's Day thing is not so bad.

I mean, what other time of year can you get away with stuffing your face full of chocolates or taking huge bites of delectable Sugar Cookies loaded with Vanilla Frosting and beautiful pink, red, white and brown sprinkles?

I've spent the day with my three favorite people on earth, Curt, Jasmine and Nicholas. I can truly say without a doubt that I'm happy beyond my wildest expectations and that I love these 3 people with every fiber of my being.

We have nothing planned for this weekend, and that's fine with me, I like going with the flow and doing whatever we feel like. Like earlier today, we jumped in the car after lunch and went for a drive around Litchfield Park, tons of shopping and restaurants around and we ended up inside another Goodwill, picked up a few things and then got some Taco Bell on the way home.

Now the kids and daddy are watching Spongebob on TV and here I sit, at the kitchen table with my new laptop, writing to you and checking email and blogs and searching for new pretty things to crochet and knit.

And speaking of crocheting, I know I'm no expert and I just taught myself, but would you be interested in learning how to? I could do a step by step with pictures for you to see? Let me know what you think.

I'm also thinking it's about time for another video but I have no idea what to do, you want to throw some ideas my way? Maybe tell me what kind of video you would like to see?

I hope you're having a wonderful Valentine's Day, I'm leaving you with the 31 Days of Prayer for our Husbands.

To find out more about this journey, read here.

Day 14

Pray that your husband will speak words that build you and your family, and reflect a heart of love. Pray that he will not use filthy language. (Prov. 18:21; Eph. 4:29)

Proverbs 18-21 (New International Version)

21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Ephesians 4:29 (New International Version)

29Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

For those who are starting late, or who may want to keep track of the prayers we've done so far, I actually found all the 31 Days to print online. Remember I told you that this prayer was done on some blogs last year? Well I found the link on the Revive Our Hearts website, which is a wonderful site devoted to women's ministry.

Hope the link helps some of you out. I plan to print it all out and keep a copy with me all the time, and I know that Susanne plans on doing the same.

I would looooooooove to a step by step with pictures. I've been teaching myself to crochet and it's quite frustrating ! I'd love to learn from someone who taught herself ! Plus ... I think you and I think similarly ... I'd probably find your instructions easy to follow !!

As for videos ... I'd love a tour of your house !

Oops, I'm a little late on this, but Happy Valentine's Day, Sandra, to you and your wonderful family. Sounds like you had a great day...chocolates, a Goodwill and Taco Bell are JUST what would make my day, too!!

I know how to crochet, but I'm rusty so a tutorial would be helpful. And as for videos, a reader earlier said how about a tour of your house, and I agree!

I think The kiddos will be home tomorrow because of President's day, so hope you have a great time together.
