{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 03/11/2019 }

Good morning friends, come on in out of the cold and rain.

It's been raining non stop since yesterday morning, and it's dropped our temperatures down significantly  Saturday was warm, we were in the 70's but that's all gone down the drain into the 30's.

But never mind that, I have hot coffee so come on in and sit with me a little, I'll show you what is going on this coming week.  :)

Happy Homemaker Monday

The weather:::

Cold, dark and rainy.  It is 43 at the moment and only a high of 52 for today.  Looks like a rainy week is ahead and I'm quite alright with that as I love rain :)

Monday - Showers, 52º
Tuesday - Thunderstorms, 59º
Wednesday - AM showers and wind, 68º
Thursday - Partly Cloudy and wind, 57º
Friday - Sunny, 53º
Saturday - Partly cloudy, 56º
Sunday - Mostly sunny, 61º

On my reading pile:::
California Girls by Susan Mallery.

On my TV:::
I've been watching Expedition Unknown.
I don't really have much else on the list, I tend to watch whatever I'm in the mood for at the moment. Here's what is on my favorites list and what I'll most likely be watching:

Mercy Street
When Calls the Heart
Expedition Unknown
Victoria
Underground
Turn

On the menu for this week:::

Monday -  Smoked Sausage and Potato Skillet, Salad
Tuesday - Salisbury Steak, Rice and Brussel Sprouts
Wednesday - Pasta Bake, Garlic Bread
Thursday - Sheet Pan Beef Fajitas
Friday - Yummy Hero Sandwich
Saturday - Bangers and Mash
Sunday - Leftovers, Sandwiches

On my to do list:::
Laundry - Iron a load of tablecloths and kitchen towels.
Homeschooling - Choosing new courses for Nick.
Homemaking - The usual housework, I have dishes in the sink AGAIN, need to get them in the dishwasher.  Rest of the house is pretty clean, but I do want to vacuum and dust, and finally give that new mop a try.

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Nothing at the moment though I've been getting the crochet itch again, so need to pull out my hooks and yarn and get cracking with something.

Looking around the house:::
It's so dark in here.  The time change always messes me up, I hate losing an hour.  We were getting used to getting up with the sun coming up, but now it's back to waking up in the pitch darkness.  Blech!!!!

From the camera:::
Don't you just love fresh bread straight out of the oven?

Something fun to share:::
Have you ever heard of Grace O'Malley???  The Pirate Queen???  I honestly had no idea she even existed, but her story is quite fascinating.  Check this out!!!

What I'm wearing today:::
Still in my nightgown, it's not even 8am.  I do have to take Jasmine to work, so I'll probably thrown on a pair of jeans, a tshirt and some boots since it's raining.

One of my simple pleasures:::
Sitting in bed on a rainy afternoon, under a warm blanket, with Marley sleeping across my lap.

Bible verse, Devotional:::
Psalm 5:3 (NIV) “In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

The time change always messes me up too! I'm really hoping this proposed bill to leave it alone passes before we have to do this again! Your menu sounds super yummy this week and so does your weather! Have a GREAT week.

As always I love reading your blog! Your bread looks amazing! It makes me want to bake! I believe the time change really messes everyone up! I hope you have a wonderful week and enjoy the rain! I will gladly allow you to borrow ours for awhile! This has been one of the wettest winters I can remember as far as rain goes! I can not wait to see what you crochet next!

Hello Beautiful Sandra!
That bread is literally making me drool and I think I can smell it from here. ;) Enjoy your cozy rain. I think I"m still behind from daylight savings too. Although it's so nice here in the north to have it be lighter in the evenings again. Blessings on your week Hon. xoox

Hello, I am seeing this link up for the first time and am interested in linking up in the future. Do you have a graphic that you use for the link up each week and are the questions the same every week. Guess I'm just seeking the guidelines for it. Very enjoyable!

Hi Lea, welcome to my blog :) Yes, the photo is at the top of the post, so you can use that one. I have a few and sometimes will switch the graphic up, on that day you can just grab it from here and use it on your own post. The questions are the same every week. :)

I'm with you on preferring to get up when it's light out, not in the dark! Days were getting longer on their own anyway. Ugh. Seems to start earlier each year as well. Your bread looks amazing. Hope you've been having a wonderful week so far!
