{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 10/14/2019 }

Good morning everyone, hope you've all had a wonderful weekend.

Mine was nice and quiet.  It is also a long weekend for us, at least for hubby as he is off work today, but Jasmine is working so in a few hours we will be taking her in.

I apologize for no Blogtober posts this weekend, our internet went out , we've been having some issues with it lately, and it culminated with the hubster having to climb up into the attic and looking for electrical boxes and whatnot.  Anyway, yes, a bit of a crazy moment but it is back now, and I'll just pick right back up today with the Blogtober.

Anyway, let's get going with our Happy Homemaker Monday.

The weather outside is::::
It has been glorious.  Woke up the other morning to 35 degrees and a freeze warning.  Unfortunately Sunday and today we are back up to warm weather.  It is currently 55 but let me show you what the week ahead looks like.

Monday - Mostly sunny,  88
Tuesday - Partly cloudy, wind,   84
Wednesday - Mostly sunny, 71
Thursday - Sunny, 79
Friday - Mostly sunny, 85
Saturday - Sunny, 87
Sunday - Mostly sunny, 89

On the breakfast plate this morning::::
Just coffee at the moment, and will have some Raisin Cinnamon toast for breakfast, in about an hour.

As I look outside my window:::
The sun is starting to rise.  I love seeing it's rays coming through the tree branches.

Right now I am::::
Sitting on the bed, watching Vlogtober on the telly and working on this post.

As I look around the house::::
The house is bathed in golden light at the moment.  I've opened the curtains and some windows to let in the fresh air.  I need to give the living room a quick tidying, and my kitchen needs some help too, seems the kids were in there last night snacking.

On today's to do list::::
Laundry....Have some bedding to wash.
Cleaning....In the kitchen, I have dishes in the sink, have to unload the dishwasher and reload it.  Give the counters a good wipe down, update the chalkboard menu for this week and sweep and mop.
In the living room....tidy up and need to vacuum.
In the bedrooms....change bed linens.
In the bathrooms....clean toilets and sinks, wipe down counters and mirrors.  Sweep.
Homeschooling....go over the lessons, approve any Nick has completed.
Crocheting....started a new project and need to go by Walmart to pick up some yarn.  Also have a sewing project in the works and need to get myself a new scissors as mine has gone blunt.
Cooking.....making some grilled ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch.  Dinner will be Oklahoma Fried Onion Burgers and Fries.

On the menu this week::::
Monday - Oklahoma Fried Onion Burgers, Fries
Tuesday - Mexican Chicken Lasagna, Salad
Wednesday - Creamy Taco Pasta Bake, Green Beans
Thursday - Ranch Chicken Thighs, Brussell Sprouts and Mashed Potatoes
Friday - Sandra's Mock Jambalaya
Saturday - We will be in Oklahoma helping my mother in law, she is selling her house, so will be having a dinner out there

Currently reading::::
One for the Blackbird, One for the Crow.

On the TV today::::
Some vlogtober, Sanditon, Catherine the Great.

What I am creating at the moment::::
New crochet blanket and a sewing project, I'll take pictures and show you all tomorrow.

New recipe I tried or want to try this week::::
I've been trying to get ready for Thanksgiving and figuring out what I want to make.  This year I want to make two cheesecakes, a Raspberry topped one and a Caramel topped.  Yesterday I tried to make the Raspberry Cheesecake.  It was SO good.

Praying for good test results for my friend Jen's son, Andrew.
Praying my mother in law's latest cancer treatment finally does the job and gets rid of this awful disease.

You always have the most delicious sounding food. I've been really bad about cooking at home lately because we've been so busy, but I'm going to use your food blog as my inspiration for cooking at home. Can't wait to see your new projects you are working on. Hope you have a wonderful week!
