Homemaking Tip for this week:
Making Good Use of Time: While something is in the oven with the timer on, you can be folding the last load from your dryer. When you heat up the iron for something, you can use those few minutes to put away some dishes. While your pot of stew is heating up to a boil, you can be setting the table. If things are not quite ready from the stove, you can create a centerpiece from freshly cut flowers. The remarkable thing about women that God created within them is that they can do two things at the same time. But don't go overboard with this, as you may end up having "one of those days."

Favorite Blog Post of the week (mine or other):
Really didn't get much blog reading done last week, hoping to get some time today to catch up.

Favorite photo from last week:

Lesson learned the past few days:
That sometimes you have to say you understand when you don't, you have to smile when inside you're sad, you have to say that everything is just fine when all you want to do is scream at the top of your lungs. And you have to say you understand you and the kids being the second priority in the military.

As rewarding as being a military family it is, it's also heartbreaking at times and it takes a very strong woman to understand and support her soldier.

On my Prayer List:
Too many people to list

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses:

Align CenterThe peril of prosperity is that we sometimes forget God and His blessings. Instead, we rely on self, enjoying the ease. The words of Moses ring true for us today. He said, "When you eat and are satisfied, be careful that you do not forget the LORD" (6:11-12).

Solomon's prayer also is vital in this regard: "Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?'" (Prov. 30:8-9).

We do thank you for the sacrifices you make, it would be a tough road and I honestly respect all of you for being such strong and supportive wives, even when it is damn hard.

Lovely post Sandra. My grandson leaves for Germany on Saturday and while I worry about him, I really worry about his wife, holding down the home, taking care of two kids while holding down a full time teaching job and being alone. I try to help but it is hard to fill that empty spot in her life. God bless you too for being a military wife.
