The Simple Woman's Daybook - July 7th

It's my first time participating in the Simple Woman's Daybook, I just love her idea of sharing what's going on around us and even giving you a photo or two.

If you want to join in, just got visit Peggy over at The Simple Woman, read the guidelines here and then add your name to Mr Linky. There are so many other participants sharing their day, I'm sure you'll enjoy looking through them :)

FOR TODAY

Outside my Window
...it's one of those beautiful Arizona sunrises, the sky is shades of pink and orange and it's already really REALLY hot.

I am thinking...that I hope I get all the house work done as soon as possible so I can sit down on the computer for a bit

I am thankful for...this long weekend, it's been great having hubby home from work

From the kitchen...delicious White Chococolate Pecan Caramel Cheesecake, it's so good!

I am creating...piles of laundry to iron

I am going...nowhere today, staying home and relaxing!

I am wearing...pink summer dress and I'm bare feet

I am reading...Married to the Mop by Barbara Colley

I am hoping...to have some time to sit down and play The Sims 2 (what can I say, I'm having too much fun with it)

I am hearing...the sound of jets flying over the base

Around the house...tons of toys laying around, unmade beds, mountains of laundry, it's what awaits me today

One of my favorite things...taking a drive through the countryside

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...Get Nicholas registered for Kindergarten, get my driver's licence renewed before it expires the first week of August

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...thunderstorm we had on friday night

What a precious drawing, used for the link {I guess} to The Simple Woman's Daybook. Just precious.

And cute idea for a blogging theme.

Have a piece of that delicious sounding dessert for me tonight. I'm now officially Lactose Intolerant. Cuts out lots of eats.

But! My quality of life has been so much betttttttttter, since living to take care of this... that I really am not complaining. :-)

But anyway, tonight when you cut yourself a 2nd piece, if anyone questions... tell 'em Mari-Nanci asked you to. OK, tell 'em Mari-Nanci TOLD you to. And that Mari-Nanci is very bossy. And gets very grumpy, when she is not obeyed. >,-)))

Beautiful.

I am reading the Victorian Fairytales compilation, actually reading the intro/essay first--full of great history of fairy tales, a favorite topic of mine. HAve actually read most of the stories in the book.

My first time visiting your blog. This is a fun post! I picked up the idea from Jen a couple weeks ago and need to get back to doing it. Your blog is so pretty, Sandra. I love red -- actually accents of red. I think every room in my house has just a touch of red!

Wow that is some picture. I am one of those people who liked to sit out front and watch the thunderstorms when we were stationed in Oklahoma. I'm lucky I never got struck.

Boy does that cheesecake sound delicious, my mouth is watering just seeing the title of it.

Enjoy relaxing and like you I have tons of stuff to do around the house.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. The daybook is great, Monday's are usually difficult for me to "think" of what to say. Do you have a good chocolate cheesecake recipe? I'm looking for one and haven't had any luck.
