{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 02/25/2019 }

Good Morning everyone and a very Happy Monday to you all :)

I want to start by thanking the Lord for a new week and a new blank slate for us all.  Remember that God's mercies are new every morning, so take full advantage of that and let this new week be one of blessings and joy.  That is what I wish for each and every single one of you.

In my last post I talked about feeling a bit out of sorts, maybe it was the stomach bug I had, combined with a sense of almost being lost and not really knowing what I was doing last week.  Trust me, we can be in our mid 40's and still have days where we wonder just what in the world we are doing.

But, with God's fresh mercies, I'm grabbing life by the reigns and moving on forward with a fresh new week.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was wonderful and quiet as always, which is what I prefer.  I AM feeling tired today, because Curt and I were up until well past 11pm watching an episode of Kitchen Nightmares.  If that show doesn't make you question every restaurant you eat at, I don't know what will.

Anyway, let's get on with our Happy Homemaker Monday, as I have a busy day of homemaking ahead.

The Weather:::
Beautiful morning with the sun shining brightly.  It's currently 36 degrees and I think our high is in the lower 60's.

Monday - Partly cloudy and windy, 64º
Tuesday - Partly cloudy, 64º
Wednesday - Cloudy, 61º
Thursday - Partly cloudy, 54º
Friday - Sunny, 69º
Saturday - Mostly cloudy, 40º
Sunday - Mostly cloudy, 40º

Right now I am:
Sitting at my desk.  I already changed into some sweat pants and a tshirt and I've stripped the bed to wash the linens.  I'm going to get this post up and then eat something for breakfast and start on my day.

Thinking:

That I need to focus.  I need to not let my brain get so scattered so that I don't end up feeling out of sorts and lost again.

On my reading pile:::

The Woman in the Lake by Nicola Cornick, down to the last few pages and then moving on to the next which is Corpse and Crown by Alisa Kwitney.

On my tv:::
Kitchen Nightmares - I've been enjoying this one this past weekend.  It's one of those shows that I'm able to pop on and get busy with other things and not worry that I'm missing important dialogue.
Call the Midwife
When Calls the Heart - New Season just started last night
Homemaking Vlogs on Youtube

Favorite Blog or blog post this week:::

Simple Farm Mama....it's just one of those blogs that you find yourself scrolling through and enjoying all the pretty pictures and posts.

Something fun to share:::
I have another fun website for you this week.  SuperCook is going to help you figure out what to cook with what you have on hand.  Yes there are other websites like it out there, but this is just one more to add to that collection, AND it searches through some of the top popular cooking websites.
Simply enter the ingredients you have on hand, and it will search for the perfect recipe for you.

On the menu for this week:::

Monday - Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas, Rice and Beans
Tuesday - Pasta Bake, Homemade Garlic Bread
Wednesday - Beef Baked with Yogurt, Basmati Rice, Broccoli
Thursday -  Tortellini with Tomato Sauce, Salad
Friday - Sausage Shepherd's Pie
Saturday - Beef and Cheese Stuffed Bread Rolls, Fries
Sunday - Leftovers, Sandwiches or Pizza

On my to do list:::
Laundry - One load of socks and whites, bed linens
Homeschooling - Can't believe we really have just two months left of school
Food Prep  - Need to do my garlic and olive oil mixture for the fridge.  Also need to chop up and bag sweet peppers for the freezer.
Cooking and Baking - Homemade Bread Loaves, need to soak the beans for about an hour and then pop them in the slow cooker all day.

Looking around the house:::
Need to give the bedroom and office a good vacuum AGAIN.  I swear I vacuum daily lately with Marley destroying his toys.
Rest of the house is not bad, just the usual tidying and cleaning.

From the camera:::

On my prayer list:::
Thanking the Lord that everything is fine with my uncle Tony.  His lungs are clear, it seems that what he is dealing with is anxiety and panic attacks.  Praying on that for him.

Bible verse, Prayer, Devotional:::
Lord, I make myself available to You, just as I am. Please use me to do Your will, and help me to begin seeing possibilities everywhere I go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Glad you are feeling better and I hope you have a GREAT week. Fortunately I had my post virtually ready to go with yesterday’s down time as we lost power and will be out for the foreseeable future in a system wide outage. Will check back in to visit everyone after the power is back.

We are a bit the same with Bella. If she isn't destroying toys, it is cardboard boxes. I am forever picking up fluff and bits of chewed cardboard!

Glad everything is well with your uncle other than the anxiety attacks. Love shows like that where it doesn't matter if some dialogue gets missed. My boys love Kitchen Nightmares. Hope you start to feel better & rested (stomach bugs make the best of us feel out of sorts) and have a super week ahead!

I'm running late this week, Sandra, but I enjoyed reading your post! Yes! The Lord's mercies are fresh every morning! Praise His holy name! We are in the midst of trials right now and that reminder is much needed and is so refreshing to this parched soul. SuperCook sounds interesting. I am checking it out as soon as I post this comment! Thanks for sharing and hope you're having a great week! Blessings! <3
