{ Happy Homemaker Monday - 04/29/2019 }

Good morning everyone, welcome to another Happy Homemaker Monday.

I am rushing to get this post up pretty quick, as I need to get Jasmine off to work, then back home to get my day started, I have a lot I need to do.

I hope you've all had a restful, good weekend and a great week ahead.

The weather:::
Temperature wise we are going to have quite a nice week, but unfortunately it is also going to be full of thunderstorms.

Monday - Mostly Cloudy, 76º
Tuesday - Thunderstorms, 80º
Wednesday - PM Thunderstorms, 84º
Thursday - AM Thunderstorms, 73º
Friday - Scattered Thunderstorms, 75º
Saturday - Partly cloudy, 81º
Sunday - Mostly cloudy, 85º

On my reading pile:::
By Invitation Only by Dorothea Benton Frank

Movies or Shows I watched this weekend:::
I finished the first season of Morocco: Love in Times of War and, OH.MY!!!!  It was so good, but left off with a lot of questions and I'm not sure if there is going to be a second season.  If there is it seems it will only be in 2020 and I just hate the thought of waiting that long.
Also started Grand Hotel on Netflix as well, and loving that one as well.  It's exciting knowing that I have all these Spanish dramas available to watch, and to think I hadn't even considered them until a few days ago.

On my TV this week:::
General Hospital
Homemaking vlogs
Grand Hotel

On the menu for this week:::
Working on the new menu plan, I have meals until Thursday, Friday we will figure something out and Saturday morning I'll be grocery shopping.

Monday
Shepherd's Pie, Steamed Broccoli
Tuesday
One Skillet Mexican Rice Casserole
Wednesday
Oklahoma Fried Onion Burgers
Thursday
Panda Express Chow Mein

On my to do list:::
Change bedding and wash linens
Take Jasmine to work and pick up in a few hours
Make 3 Ingredient Bagel
Make Yogurt or Cheese (not sure which I'll do today)
Make Bread

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::

Still working on some placemats.

Looking forward to:::

Summer.  We are trying to plan some family get togethers or fun things to do for free.

Looking around the house:::
It is cloudy outside so even though my curtains and blinds are open, it looks dark inside.  The birds are chirping away in the living room, Marley is asleep on the couch, kids are asleep too and hubby is off to work.

From the camera:::
Love rainy days and candles.

What I'm wearing today:::
My nightgown at the moment, I'll throw on some jeans and tank top when I get dressed for the day.

One of my simple pleasures:::
Hot bubble bath with a good book to read.

Bible verse, Devotional, prayers:::
“Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!” Psalm 37:7 (ESV)

We're working on a similar list for the summer - thinking of using that "FREE" part of hubby's national parks pass, but lodging around or in the parks is so expensive even with military discounts! Have a WONDERFUL week my friend and I hope the thunderstorms mind their manners and stay mild for you!

Your picture looks so cozy! Once again, I think we have close to the same weather. Stormed here overnight and I think supposed to do the same on and off most the week. Can't wait for summer over here. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Our kids are in Texas this week and looks like they'll be getting the storms, too, as will we. Your menus look great and I love the cozy candle pic! Blessings for a great week ahead! <3

Hi Sweetie! Gray wet weather in the northwoods too. But I sure like your style - light a candle and just make it nice and cozy ;)

I'm looking forward to summer too and plans for things I want to plant, local fun things to do, get our pontoon on the lake...happy with just simple summer pleasures.

Blessings on your Sandra xoxo

I hope you have a good start to the week. Shepard's Pie sounds so good, I haven't had that in ages. I may have to do one here soon. We have one big (read gigantic) family trip planned for the summer but the rest is all going to be local free or nearly free type activities. Thinking we may end up in Texas a few weekends to visit with my dad and swim at the lake.

Have a wonderful rest of your week.
