Happy Homemaker Monday - 01/29/2018

Good morning everyone, come on in and sit with me a bit.

Can you believe that we are right at the end of January?  This is our last Happy Homemaker Monday for this month, so crazy.

I had a pretty good weekend, we went out to lunch on Saturday with my brother, sister in law and nephew, and then headed to the mall for a bit of a walk around.  Found a new store called Citi Trends with super cheap clothes, accessories, shoes etc.  Of course the men were not interested in shopping around so the girls got rushed.  We've decided we will have to go back just us girls for a good walk around.

Yesterday we didn't really do anything, just relaxed, watched Blue Planet and a couple other shows on Amazon Prime, and I got my laundry done.

And just like that, we're back on Monday, so let's get right on to our Happy Homemaker Monday and see what is up ahead for this week.

The weather:::
29 degrees at the moment but real feel is 19.  Friends, I'm over the cold, I'm ready for warm weather.  Hahaha
This week we're looking at temperatures ranging between 50s and higher 70s.  No joking, from one day to the other.  This weather is insane.

As I look outside my window:::
Another gorgeous morning, with clear blue skies.  The dew on the grass is glistening, making it look like the lawn is covered in diamonds.  So pretty.

Right now I am:::
Sitting at my desk and working on this post.  I just finished eating my Weetabix for breakfast and I'm on my second cup of coffee, it's one of those days where I can't seem to get going.

Thinking and pondering:::
On my Physical Therapy appointment this afternoon.  Quite looking forward to working with the therapist in figuring out the best way to treat this pain I've been dealing with for so many years.

On my bedside table:::
My alarm clock and radio, body lotion, tv remotes and my book and Bible.

On my tv:::
Still working through Turn Season 1
Finished off The White Princess and loved it so much
The Alienist (still haven't watched this one)
Britannia (this is a new one on Amazon Prime, it's a period drama and the first episode is already available.  I watched it last night and LOVED it)

On the menu for this week:::
I'm going to try and record my meals again, I know everyone enjoys those videos and I've been asked a few times if I would consider doing it on a regular basis.  I'm going to try :)

Monday - Meatballs in mushroom gravy, egg noodles
Tuesday - Slow Cooker Chicken Curry
Wednesday - Grilled Salmon, Steamed Broccoli, Garlic Potatoes
Thursday - Oven baked chicken, Green beans with mustard sauce
Friday - Linguine with Peppery Beef Strips, Salad
Saturday -Shepherd's Pie, Mixed Veggies
Sunday -Chicken Egg Rolls, Sesame Noodles

On my to do list:::
Homeschooling
Wash bed linens and make fresh beds for the week
Physical Therapy Appointment in the afternoon

What I am sewing, crocheting, knitting or creating:::
Just started Part 8 of the Elements CAL, am hoping to finish it before Wednesday when the next Part comes out.  I'm a little behind because I ran out of yarn and had to wait until this weekend to pick up more.

My simple pleasure:::
Watching documentaries pertaining to history, especially Tudor Era.

Lesson learned the past week:::
I'm still working on letting go and letting God take complete and utter control of my life, in every area.  I'm doing SO much better, it's actually hard for me to imagine how I was feeling just two weeks ago.
I'm learning to let go in many areas, and I think that the Lord is using all of this to help me prepare for many things to come in my future.  I'll talk about it more in depth in another post, but if you follow me on Facebook you'll know that our family is going through many changes and that one of the biggest is upcoming with my Jasmine.  Boy, am I ever going to have to trust in the Lord in the next few months.

Looking around the house:::
I need to vacuum and tidy up here and there, but for the most part it's clean and in order.

From the camera:::
I love sitting in this spot, and looking out into the big yard and country side.

Prayer List:::
Same friends as I had on my lists last week, Erika, Laura and my mother in law.
Myself, to continue to trust in the Lord and let go completely.  To feel better, for health both physically and mentally.
My husband who is not feeling very good today, he has come down with a cold.

Bible verse, Devotional:::

To add to our shared love of England, add the Tudor period!!
