The end in sight!!!

It's been two crazy and hectic weeks, but thank God they flew by at turbo speed. As we speak, hubby is on a bus back home, I'm excited and just can't wait.
So in just a few hours, I'll be able to wrap my arms around him and tell him just how much I love him and missed him.

I have so much to do today, but since it's still early, I get to enjoy my cup of coffee while chatting with you all.

I thought I would start my post a little differently today, by sharing with you what is around me, what my thoughts are after this past week, and what I'm busy with.

On my bedside table:
Simply Love by Mary Balogh
The Bible in 365 days
The Brethren by Beverly Lewis
From our house to yours by Habitat for Humanity

On board from Netflix:
United 93
The Lake House

Latest interests:
Creating the perfect home baked bread
Vintage fabrics

On my mind:
Halloween costumes and trick or treating
Things I want to make for Christmas gifts

How to crochet
Adobe Photoshop
Best way to use my Bread Maker

Small purses for gifts
Scarf and Glove set

Looking forward to:
Husband coming home
Trick or Treating with the family
Going to Red Lobster and the Bookstore next week

Watching the leaves change colors
Seeing Jasmine do so well in school
Watching Nicholas grow up and become independent
Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy

With hubby arriving today (and because he already asked me to), I will actually be cooking....YAY!!! I don't understand how some people don't like cooking, I just love it so much that it's hard to wrap my mind around the concept that some really don't like it. For me it was almost like having withdrawals from an addiction, my fingers have been itching to get back in there, crank up that stove and cook a meal for my family. :)

For those of you that were interested in trying the Tooth Fairy Pillows, the instructions and pattern are really easy to follow, you don't have to be an expert seamstress. Let me know if you try them I would love to see the end results :)

I've been on a journey to make the perfect Cappucino. It's not easy making a good one, I thought that just having a Cappucino maker would be it, but apparently not because I seem to keep messing it up....never fear though I WILL achieve that perfect cup yet.

I'm a perfectionist and so it drives me nuts when I can't get something just right, but it also makes me go out of my way to try and try again until I'm happy with the results.

I remember back home when the whole family would go out to dinner, we always had either Cappucino or Irish Coffee OR Kahlua Don Pedro after the meal. Hayley and I loved the Kahlua Don Pedro, it was one of those girly things that we shared and just giggled over. If you've never tried one, you just have to, they're delicious and so easy to make too.

Here's the recipe:

1 oz whiskey
1 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1 cup vanilla ice cream

Combine all ingredients together in a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a hurricane glass, and serve.

It's very refreshing and perfect for get togethers too. Boy do I miss sitting around the table with my family and just chatting while sipping on a delicious Kahlua Don Pedro.

I am keeping this one short, I don't have time for much more today, and I have so much on my mind that I can't concentrate long enough to give you a good post...I could try but it would probably come off as incoherent and confusing, and I like you all too much for that...think of it as me saving your sanity. LOL

Have a great Saturday everyone, I'm off to start my busy day.

As per hubby's request for a homecooked meal when he arrives around dinner time, I'm fixing The Ultimate Spaghetti and Meatballs Supper. It's a recipe that I got from Rachael Ray and it's really really good. Can't wait :)

I'm glad for you that your hubby is on the way home. Enjoy your weekend.

Thanks for fixing my blog and thanks for the instructions for the tooth fairy pillows.

I am going to check out some of your books. The Bible in 365 days sounds good and so does Simply Love.

Oh no fair! I'm so DYING to get that adobe creative suite! Maybe Santa will bring me one? *sigh*

And I do love to cook. What I hate though is cleaning up the mess afterward! I'm a MESSY cook, but a darned good one!
