Who doesn't like Spaghetti??? It's pretty much a staple in many households, at least once a week we whip up a big pot of spaghetti, so what would be easier and better than putting all the ingredients in the crockpot and letting it cook all day???
1 pound ground beef
1 pound bulk Italian sausage
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
8 garlic cloves, minced
3 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) Italian diced tomatoes, drained
2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce
2 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon dried basil
2 teaspoons dried marjoram
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Hot cooked spaghetti
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook beef and sausage until no longer pink; drain.
Transfer to a 5-qt slow cooker. Stir in green pepper, onion, garlic, tomatoes, tomato sauce, paste, sugar and seasonings; mix well.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until bubbly. Serve over spaghetti.
Yield: 12 servings

YUMMY! i will have to try - also - I will do my best to have a crock pot recipe for next week! i have gotten all out of practice!! :)
I'm up for my first time!
I really like the sound of this, Sandra, because it sounds like the way I used to make homemade spaghetti sauce, before I became addicted to the little seasoning packets. Guess what? I finally broke down and bought a slow cooker recipe book. So who knows. Maybe I can actually start participating in this soon.
I cook in my slow cooker all the time but I kind of invent things and it's impossible to convert it into a recipe that would make sense to anyone else.
This sounds wonderful. Gee. Big surprise there. Every single recipe of yours I've ever made has been wonderful!
I enjoy your blog. Gonna try this...not sure if I know exactly what to do, but I'll give it a go.
Sandra, I missed it again! Definitely next week!
Thanks for your recipe!
Laura
