SLOW COOKING THURSDAY!!!

With fall just around the corner and so many wonderful recipes being shared, constantly, amongst the blogging ladies....I thought that it would be neat to have a feature every thursday, just for crockpot recipes.
What do you think??? You have some great recipes to share, or perhaps you're looking for some delicious ones to give you a reason to pull out the ol' crockpot???
Well it's thursday ladies and you know what that means. Time to pull out those crockpots and put them to good use. If you want to join in, just grab the banner and add your name to Mr Linky :)

BEER BRISKET

2 lg. onions, sliced 1 beef brisket (3-4 lb), trimmed of fat 1 bottle (12 oz) beer 1/2 cu bottled chili sauce 2 tsp dried steak seasoning

Place onions in slow cooker. Top with meat. If necessary, cut beef to fit into slow cooker.

Mix beer, chili sauce, and steak seasoning. Pour over onions and meat.

Cover. Cook on low 10 to 12 hours.

To serve, remove meat from cooking liquid. Thinly slice meat across grain.

Using slotted spoon, remove onions from cooking liquid and place on top of meat.

I have more of a slow cooker suggestion than recipe... I like to keep Hot Apple Cider in my Slow Cooker next to cups and a laddle when we have holiday parties.. on LOW it's just the right temp and you can add some nice floating fruit slices or cinnamon sticks to make it pretty. Great on a buffet table :)

Happy Slow Cooker Thursday!
